Hi, I have been taking pictures of childrens karate exams where 6 or more children will be doing their gradings in front of a qualified examiner in a medium sized sports hall. Because of the low light situation and that fact that I cannot afford a zoom lends that will go any lower in aperture than F4.2 I have been taking my portrait studio strobes which although give great results take far to long to recharge and because they are triggered via a wirteless trigger other cameras flash units are setting them off thus I end up missing some great shots. The obvious answer is a better lens but I cannot afford to do this yet. I have been thinking about constant lighting but again as I cannot afford special lights was wondering if I could use something more basic such as a couple of standard exterior security Halogen Floodlights which range froom 100w to 500w. I could adjust my white balance accordingly. What are your thoughts on this as I am struggling with this.
Many thanks
