The tower is located at Gunwharf and is 170M high.

The first set of images show the narrow harbour mouth with Gosport to the right and Portsmouth to the left.
This image shows two of the three ferries that ply between Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight. The vessel on the right is the car ferry and the vessel on the left is the catamaran. They are seen passing each other in the hsrbour mouth.
Condor ferries (Commodore Goodwill) arrives in the harbour with trucks on board. This ferry will make its way up the harbour to the Continental ferry port located about halfway up Portsea island.
Brittany passenger ferry (Pont Aven) enters the harbour and will also dock at the continental ferry port.

The third ferry link to the IOW is the hovercraft. It berths at Southsea near Clarence Pier. It is seen here heading for it's berth.
