Sorry, but i need a big moan

Snip

the pipe doesn't make any proformence differences though.

It must do, if it allows the engine to breath easier, which it will as it will not have as many baffles in to allow the noise to be louder it will improve performance.

My mums car has got an armrest :D

What is your car?

Mine's a 2.5* - Costs me about £800 a year though!

*turbo diesel :'(

Geez, think i would rather put the £800 a year towards a holiday

Doesn't make it go fast.......

But thats not what you said in your original post. See below:)

HAHA no

I am not a boy racer, i would hate to be branded as one of them. I wanted some nice sound to my car and that is what i have got. I am much more about looks of the car than the speed. I have not got a loud sound system, don't need it all i listen to is the radio. And shuuushhh i have not got tinted windows

Yes they are, the pipe doesn't make any proformence differences though. and it isn't what i would call big and the wheels was on it when i got it

Performance or proformance as you said ;) doesn't not have to make the car faster it can be a faster throttle response time a quicker acceleration time in different gears ie 50-70 in fifth gear etc etc. The insurance company will look at the exhaust as performance enhancing .

I have the cheapest car to run out of everyone so far. :)

No insurance cost
No road tax
No fuel bills.
No service bills.
No new tyres to buy.
I get a new one every 3 and a 1/2 years

and I do about 40k miles a year.

Yeap you have it a company car.

Only down side is I have to pay a little extra tax.

They're nice motors, I wanted one of those when I was about 14 :D

its the seats i need .

i have a active love life...:naughty:

Getting back to the first post then........

I had a fairly similar situation. One of my cars is a '95 Celica GT with very nice alloys (and a few other non-boy racer bits and bobs) which I was driving home from work one day. I approached a temp traffic light system with about 15m of the one lane blocked. I had a green light so continued through only to be met at the end by some silly bint who didn't think she had to adhere to the red light on her side. Instinctively I swerved left then right to first avoid her, then the curb but unfortunately smacked the curb fairly hard. Knowing that would have damaged my alloys, and not in any mood to let things go, I did a swift handbrake turn and hunted the little woman in her Fiat Punto down. After a brief spat of flashing lights, horn sounding, and squeezing her to a stop, we had a little chat which resulted in her seeing my point of view (although it did take a call to the police to ask them how legal it is to ignore a temp red light)... The outcome was a nice new Pirelli P-Zero and a full alloy repair and buff for me, and £300 down for her.

Sometimes it pays to not let things go.

Mind you I did feel a pang of guilt when I knocked on the woman's window to a look of terror that said "Please don't kill me"... :naughty:

What a weird thread :cuckoo: Sounds to me like some people need to learn how to drive and remember that the brake pedal is there for a reason :) I sometimes wonder if some people learned to drive on their playstation, Xbox or whatever  Some people should think about the next time they hit the curb and that maybe someone will be walking on it, perhaps with a pushchair, pram, buggy or whatever they want to call it :nono:

Looks like someone posted for the sake of an argument.... Fine, I'll give you one... What an ignorant viewpoint!! :cuckoo:

Clipping the curb, and mounting the curb are completely different scenario's. I've been driving safely for years my man, and never been involved in any sort of accident more serious than clipping a curb so your insinuations are unfounded and uncalled for.

Some people should refrain from trying to be clever, because they're not.... :nono:

Absolutely no argument from me  FYI my post was aimed at the whole thread, anyway to play your game - clipping the curb shows you are out of control of the vehicle you are driving  going through temp traffic lights and can't see whats coming  Anyhoo I can only say your driving skills must be remarkable if you can judge your driving ability to be able to only clip the curb without mounting it, I'm sure schumacker would love to to get some lessons from you

I suspect that if'd have done that to me I would have sat in the car, telephoned the police and asked them to make the nutter go away, possibly then and using reasonable force, I would have got out to 'chat'. If that woman had been my wife, I suspect that the overworked nurses and doctors in the Accident & Emergency unit would be that bit more overworked after I had caught up with you.

Doing what you did is stupid and pretty pointless.

i didn't go up on to the kerb, i hit off of it. which is why i was annoyed.

If i had gone up the step i would have lost control and crashed in to the shop and house, either that or took the bottom off my car

Splog- I had to brake when i see her on my side of the road yes, so i know where the brake it :tounge: I am not really in the mood for an arugment

I don't think many people walk on that bit of the pavement because they know it is too small anyways.

There is a big difference in mounting a step and hitting the side of the kerb :tounge:

I want an argument now...................................put em' up :D:D:D

It must do, if it allows the engine to breath easier, which it will as it will not have as many baffles in to allow the noise to be louder it will improve performance.

It also denies the engine back pressure, in some cases, making the car slower. A powerhouse, tarmac shredding, bird pulling 1 litre Corsa may be just an example.

Has your car featured on Barryboys Techno?

Oh, FITP, STFU..........please..........;)

lol... all the nacho's are awake tonight aren't they??!

My post was a complete (obvious) over dramatisation of a real situation for comedy effect, so get off your high horses... :bat:

What really happened after the incident, is that I turned the car around (not pulled a handbrake turn for years) and drove the 50 yards to where the woman had stopped, we had an amicable chat where she accepted complete liability and after we both inspected the wheel she agreed to pay for a new tyre and the alloy repair. That doesn't really make an exciting post though does it?? :bang::lol:

Christ, can you not post humourous anecdotes here without the PC brigade clambouring all over you???

Absolute definition of road rage imho :cuckoo:

EXACTLY what I was saying:D

There is a general lack of the three shuns amongst many drivers, chavmobile drivers especially, lack of concentration, anticipation and consideration.

What a hero, bravo sir, jolly well done.

Sigh... catch up will you... :bang:

Did you miss my explanation post, or are you just ignorant?

Absolutely correct, well spotted... My intention completely...

WHAT  to frighten women in their car  or have I misunderstood the post?

You have explained your attitude to this act, exactly where?

Surely this can`t be it,can it?

Or have you had a post removed, as it stands, i`m afraid your attitude to the lady in question is abominable.

Ah, spotted the honourable climb down, its a joke post.......no worries.

It's not something you expect to happen, is it? But there's always someone that will tell you it could've been prevented etc... Not that it helps anyway, bit late for that.

Barryboys? haha no :)

I don't mix with the racers/boy racers/ lot really, don't feel comfatble racing around. Sure i have put my foot down to get my up to 50mph but nothing more on these roads down here, that is just silly. would rather use my petrol to go and take some pictures :D

Yeah i see what you mean :)

The thing is if i was to drive on the other side of the road like that in to on coming traffic and there was a copper about, i would get pulled and nicked, wouldn't i?

But they don't. doesn't seem fare to me

As in, my intention was to humourously describe my amicable incident as a dramatisation of roadrage. We arty types sometimes do that, it's a flaw :bonk:
