Daily Sonriendo's 365 - Finished and thank flickerty for that :D

Looks good Sarah! :)

Thanks Jake :)

Well, the spring must be on it's way as today I saw two swallows and some poppies - we are having serious March winds and April showers all mixed up together at the moment so it doesn't really feel like it. Started to get chillier again today so I guess that'll be me chopping kindling this afternoon - oh the joys :D

Well, it's grey and drizzle now, can see my closest mountains but not the distant ones :( Luckily I've got enough kindling to light the fire now - just got to bring wet logs in ;)

some gorgeous shots since I was last in here Sarah :) Love the cat and the garden dyptych and the cake (mmmm making me think that one needs doing when I get a day off ) and love those poppies - gorgeous shot

Lovely shot Sarah! I always look forward to poppy season!

i nearly missed these - they do seem quite early this year - not sure if they are or not. Maybe it's just the cold ;)

Hello stranger - nice to see you back :D and thank you very much :)

The dof and tones in the photo are great! I almost wish the oof poppies weren't there but they certainly don't ruin the photo :D

I think I would have liked to see all of a slice in the shot! Do you grow them in your garden? No matter what country it says they're from, getting fruit abroad is always much nicer!

For a filler it's a good en hun.....the blue background works great against the orange, composition pretty good, as Sarah said too, only thing needed for me is the slice at the back propped up :)

Yes Jake I have got them in my garden all Organic too as I hate spraying them :D

Like the organge against blue, might have looked nice if you'd propped the slice at the back up slightly.

Didn't think of that - but I was in a hurry and just checked for in focus rather than anything else

I'll try it with lemons next time as the blue and yellow should make for a nicer contrast :) And I will arrange them in a far more esthetically pleasing manner ;)

Agree with above colours work well together! Focus is lovely too!... Look forward to artsy fartsy arranged lemons

So funny, the thread title has me singing that ad in my head...

The poppies are pretty, nice DOF. How lovely to grow your own oranges! I like when 365s have little bits of day to day life in them as well as being photographic exercises, and I love how your thread is giving us a window into somewhere different. :D

And that's going back a fair few years :) I really ought to get out and about for you all didn't I

Took yesterday's shot fairly early on, but it's still on the camera - I just ran out of steam last night  So it's a little catch up later today

small ones are juicier sarah... but you could have done something more ... zazzy?? had the exposed side front and centre with a juice dripping from it.. juice could have been water for all we, the observer, knew... we, the observer, demand a reshoot with dripping... :naughty: :exit:

Will get drippy later ;) But am liking zazzy - I need more zaz in my life :D

So a doubler here as I lost the will to live nearly last night ;)

Bit of a filler here, this is fideuá a pasta used in dishes similar to paella - usually fishy ones

And on today's I thought I really did ought to get out and about a bit and share some of my local with you all - so this is our village church - bog ugly to my mind - but hey ho ;)

I mean, look at that door, so inviting  Next week I will go further afield and bring you more of what we have around and about :) I'm actually hoping to get down to the beach, which is my place for recharging my batteries and chilling out for a bit ;) Only in the winter months though, I don't like sharing it with the hoi poli ;)

Are you ok?.....

The church itself is ok, I like the stonework and the fact is different from ours!... BUT......

That door is a prison door lol!

I'm fine, just a long day yesterday and I could not be harrised to do any PP or uploading ;)

It's incredible no?

There are some beautiful old churches in "town" with amazing studded wooden doors - I'll try to get in there and take some shots soon - I could be an ambassador for my area ;)

sarah.. if only you'd stepped back a few feet... so you could have gotten the majesty of the church.. there appears to be a circular stone-age around its base..go back there and reshoot... its not too late.. you can do.. it now? ... no?? ... oh

:D

I really like the Poppy photo...captured them at all different stages there! Nice colours.

I really like the contrasting colours in the orange shot as well, focus is good and you'll sort out the 'bit at the back' with your lemons! :D

The stonework on the church walls is really nice and I like the shape of it, it's just a shame that they clearly don't want to be encouraging anyone to go in! And that wonderful blue sky again.....taunting me!

I think I prefer your original closer view you can see the stonework so much better

Excellent! I like bubble shots, was you holding it?
