Somerset/Devon Suggestions

hi,

I am leaving this a bit late, as I have been very busy recently, but we are off on holiday later this morning and we are going down to Watchet in Somerset for the next 8 days.

What I'd love to know is, where would you recommend we go whereby the family can enjoy themselves and I can get the camera out, so we get the best of both worlds. I am also hoping the wife will let me out one afternoon/evening where I can just indulge purely in the photography so if your suggestion is not family friendly then that'll be ok as well.

There's the West Somerset Railway - the bigger stations have more going on.

Have a look at Lynton/Lymouth/Porlock Hill. It's the other side of Minehead from Watchet but there's plenty of icecream for the kids and the views are stunning.

I can concur that Lynton and Lynmouth are beautiful as we were there on holiday in July,you can find a few plus Ilfracombe and Exmoor

woolacombe, lynton/lynmouth and porlock are all very nice, dunkery has nice views but its more of a photo jaunt as theres nothing else there.
