Puts things squarely in perspective. My closest friend heard yesterday that his cancer hasn't grown in the last few months. He is into his 13th month of the 12 he was given. I've not been able to see him since lockdown started in March. Seems that I may possibly see him again. Couldn't want for more.
The wife and I dont do presents we just buy each other stuff through out the year either as a surprise or when out.We decided not to do pressies this year, just going to have an extra weeks holiday, when we can.

Thomas Heaton's book from my other half
A few weeks ago my wife asked if I wanted a book by one of the Youtubers I watch as an Xmas prezzie. I just said surprise me with which one. I thought I’d get Heaton’s but I got Adam Gibbs’ ’Quiet Light’ book.
I have a mate who dives, he gets on to me when I call then ‘flippers’ he describes them as ‘fins’.A new pair of flippers, needed since I lost one earlier in the year.

He'd love my mate Manolis who calls them "flappers"!
