So What Was Your Best Present?

Vouchers to spend at my favourite online butcher :D

Meat , glorious meat :D

One of these grill skillets, the problem is I now need to spend a load of money completing the set...

Finally opened everything lol

Got a couple of bottles of decent whisky and the daughter got me a Glencairn glass to go with them. https://whiskyglass.com/ Apparantly is a specific whisky glass? I guess I'll have to test it and see if its just a marketing excercise lol. Other than that the wife bought be a lovely pair of harris tweed slippers and they really are so comfortable.

Got other bits and bobs which are nice but whisky, glass and slippers are the top trumps :)

Vox Adio air 'handbag' to practice with. Something to help me practice alone.

Only got one, so must be that!

Thomas Heaton's book from my other half which I want expecting. Whisky, cider, retro ladies calendar...... Not seen any of my family yet and not picking my kids up until later this afternoon.

The Tubemapper book and a trio of Curry cookbooks so far.

Not usually a whiskey drinker but have been craving one today, best I have is a bottle of bells we use for cold remedies. Never go to the pub and the one year we might of its shut. Nothing special this year, shorts for paddleboarding, basic tablet for watching youtube/listenting to podcasts.

My closest friend heard yesterday that his cancer hasn't grown in the last few months. He is into his 13th month of the 12 he was given. I've not been able to see him since lockdown started in March. Seems that I may possibly see him again. Couldn't want for more.

Puts things squarely in perspective.
Hope you meet your friend soon, in better health.

A Lagavulin and three Taliskers is more like an excellent haul:D, It should keep you warm through the worst of the winter.

My girlfriend bought me a track day experience so I'll get to drive the cars I'll never be able to afford
:)

A new pair of flippers, needed since I lost one earlier in the year.

A pair of lenses, Nikon AI-S 35mm f2.8 and 85mm f2. I found, bought, received and tested and then boxed and wrapped them myself and handed them to someone to give me on Christmas day. At least I got what I wanted :D

It’s all a bit strange, because of travel restrictions I’ve not had (or given) presents from my children or mother. At some point next year we’ll be having a good old family Christmas, but in the spring I imagine!

He'd love my mate Manolis who calls them "flappers"!
