Yep Prince Andrew has just phoned and booked me lol
No, just tonight and on "the big day".
Mind you, if we can squeeze a public holiday out of it, then I'm all for it![]()

I agree with the above The Royal Family is a very British thing that helps define us

OK I may be cynical but I wonder if the Government are taking the opportunity to bury some bad (for us) legislation today.

I'm sure that they'll go for the small approach and I can't see it been a national holiday , it has never happened before for a wedding from what I recal . So no extra day off work sadly .
English thing and they (royal family) are german and greek so can't see how they define us :nono:
There were Bank Holidays for both Princess Anne's and Prince Charles' weddings.
If you want to spout off about the Royal Family's bloodlines, at least get it right. The Duke of Edinburgh's family may have held the throne of Greece, but they were of German and Danish descent, not Greek in the slightest.
As for the matter of Scottish blood, ever heard of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon?
Yes but she was neither king or queen proper, she was the kings consort, and the title queen mother title was awarded.
Ah, that's better thenbut they were of German and Danish descent, not Greek in the slightest.

I didn't think she was actually Scottish anyway was she?
edit:
according to this it appears that she was born in England but spent much of her childhood in Scotland. Presumably that's right?
English.... 100% Anglo Saxon with just a dash of Viking
I wish them well, just hope they remember the vows and remain faithful to each other.
