Daily snorton's 365 project - Calling It A Day I'm Afraid :(

Thank you :)

Cheers

Thanks hun.

Yeah it was about 8 mins past 6 tonight, then came round again at quarter to 8. It's round again tomorrow night :thumbs:

It is?..........oh wow yippeee!!!!!!!!!.... thanks hun!

Well done Simon and what a great start to star trails etc! Its something I fancy trying but I think I will need an SLR due to the limited exposure of my X10! Completely agree with your view on the 365 and thats what I am trying to do too, try out new stuff, learn and have fun

Ooh that is interesting!! How cool!?

Thanks for all your comments...hehehehe to be honest, they were better than I was expecting as I really didn't think much to the shot, so big thanks to you all

So Day 50 has arrived already, time passes so quick....almost as quick as an International Space Station :D.

Now tonights pic is a screen shot of Darts Night....possibly the most addictive game for iPhone/iPad...and one me and my bro have nightly battles with over t'internet...brother is yet to beat me...just call me The Power!!!!

Taking this also made me realise how bloomin heavy the D7000 is...not easy taking one handed pics while playing darts at the same time....

Love your IIS shot. Alright, as a stand alone image it may not be particularly impressive, but when you understand what it is it becomes suddenly really cool.

The space station shot is interesting, I didnt even hear it mentioned that it was about.
Not so sure about your darts shot though.

'The power'.....chuckle!!!!!

Clear crisp shot I like it alot!!

Tbh I was struggling for a shot yesterday, hence the darts shot.

Crsip and colourful darts shot Simon very different indeed

Thank you :)

Very crisp and clear :D

Cheers

Over the half century....whoop whoop.

So today was a trip over to my brothers to see my nephew, and of course I had to take the camera.

Now I appreciate how good the D7000 really is in low light, as this shot was taken in natural light with a high ISO to try and get a decent shutter speed.

Yes there is noise in this, and the shot is soft, but I see this as more as a filler for today.

He is a cutie, but wipe his face before you take his picture you bad uncle :nono:

I love the look and he has good eyes, cute shot. I have tried a few shots at iso 3200 with the D7000 and it is good, isnt it. Not tempted by the new D7100? You maybe bought a week too soon.

I'm now getting to that point where I feel I'm hitting the wall......weather not great, not a great deal of time, and struggling to find inspiration around the home...hence why today's shot is a mundane bunch of bananas...using the time to experiment with speedlights...

It's getting to us all now isn't it!.... It would be so much easier with a bit is decent weather!
I spent all day wandering the house getting crosser and more fed up!

You've got gorgeous light on ya Nanas tho!!

As you know, catch up time here!!! :)

Already I hate you (read 'jealous of you') for having a much better photo of a tit than I could manage :lol: ; ISS was great, didn't even know about that!; the darts one is very good, vibrant, interesting, good focus....makes me think you missed the mark with your comment about the camera....surely the whole point of darts is that you can play with a pint on every finger of your non-dart hand and drink them all at once? A measly D7000 should be easy!; your nephew has great eyes, but I thin you were starting to push your luck - he looks about 17 seconds away from meltdown! ; bananas are OK, but the reason I never bother too much with fruit & veg is that you really have to cut into it to make it look good! Can't be bothered with that so stay away!

Lol....love that reply Sam....might try the playing darts with a pint on each finger :D

Ha ha your nephew looks cool. Love his expression.

Sam's right about the fruit though; you really need to cut into them. Especially bananas which should all be chopped into tiny little pieces or otherwise annihilated as they were planted by the devil.

Good light on the bananas and another "bad uncle" from me for not face wiping :)
THink the weather is getting to us all, I've got lots of local village shots planned, but the light is just so rubbish it gets you down. Looking out of my office window today and it looks pants.

Nice lighting on the bananas

I love the darts shot! Thats a good game too, I play my brother at it! Like the bananas too! :)

Thanks for the comments, hehehe must learn to face wipe next time I take pics of my nephew :D:D. May work on another banana shot at some point soon too.

So today I decided to take the camera to work....knowing that I wouldn't have much time to take any decent shots...and in a rare few moments break from passengers, while sat at the back I had a flash of inspiration...I think this works....and for me represents the sound I hear hundreds of times a day....lol...and sometimes in my sleep.

I shall be catching up on other 365's tomorrow night

I really like this - one of the selective colouring ones that hits the mark for me!!

I don't know about 'sat' at the back - with that angle (which works so well) I would have said SLUMPED at the back!!!:lol:

Great use of sc works well here! I like it!

I bet it drives you nuts..... Kids love pressing it!

Works well with nice use of selective colour.

Thank you

You switch off to it after a while....lol....it then stops them from continually pressing it.

Hehehe I was slightly slumped at the back, and got some right funny looks from my fellow drivers too :D, they now think I'm a secret bus spotter.

I don't usually like selective colour - but it works here!

That works really well simon

Selective colouring works well for me :)

Thanks for all your messages, glad you like the shot.

So Saturday night was supposed to be my catch up night.....but after a hard day at work, got home armed with a few beers, and a few more beers later....then nodded off.....waking up on the sofa at 7:30 Sunday morning and a storming hangover which more or less wiped out my Sunday :nono::nono:.
Still managed to get shots taken but not loaded up here, so now is the time to catch up....completely sober :D:D

So the catch up pics.....

Day 54 (Saturday)...the first of many ;) beers....

Day 55 (Sunday)...sobering up just enough to stomach making another beef stir fry...more of a filler shot this as I was still a little bit rough....:D

Day 56...TODAY...on early shifts all week (and off Thursday), so will be out more in the afternoon's with the camera.....walked into the kitchen as I got in to find a squirrel making mincemeat of my bird feeder in the garden and nicking the nuts....went out into the garden to chase him off, he ran onto the fence and just gave me the death stare as if to say...."go on punk!!!! What ya gonna do now?".....here he is, the cheeky git....

Right there's my catch up....now I'm off to have a look at others :)
