I stumbled across some bag reviews recently, and found it amusing. I mean ... bag reviews?? Ok, show us what you can fit in there, and how tough the material is, if it's WR etc ... but beyond that, these reviews are often about the 'style' of the bag. You want the least stylish one you can find IMO. Also some of the bags reviewed were £200+ and looked like women's handbags!
I have 4 bags that I paid good money for and they're gathering dust. They're handy for storing gear, but as they were for larger Nikon gear, they're a bit useless for my fuji stuff [atm] Honestly, the difference between them and the bag I recently got for £30 is minimal. It looks like a fishing bag

but it's tough, holds a couple of lenses, body [XT-1[ and grip plus a mini tripod, rocket blower, and your usual spares, batteries etc ... It's also water resistant.

I'm not saying to buy that. I think recommending a bag to someone else a bit like recommending your favourite rain mac! It's a personal thing. Don't fall for gimmicks and labels, look to practicality, toughness, and discretion.
