Oscar Winner.
Honestly. I cried 4 times in the first 30 minutes. That's unusual. Also, the entire theater was captivated, silent for the duration of the movie apart from the funny bits. And for Bollywood it should be a ****ing wake up call. I'm not exaggerating, but this really is the best film I've seen for many years.
Haha well its not really a Bollywood film per se
I went to see it, based on all the hype, and was left feeling bitterly dissapointed - as is often the case with well hyped movies. Bit of a miss if you ask me...
You seem to be in the minority![]()

and your point in highlighting this is?
And why in response to my comment and not Ashers or Nilagins?
And why do you find it something to grin about?

This is an incredible film precisely because it's not Bollywood style. Danny Boyle is a genius. It's shot with sensitivity and a good understanding of the culture. At times it's very brutal and gritty but has just the right amount of humour to make it enjoyable. Definitely lived up to the hype imo.
It's a wake up call to the Indian movie industry. I've never heard my mother talk about a film with such enthusiasm before this one.
My point was in my post. :bonk:
And because I felt like singling you out.
I mean, you don't even say WHY you didn't like it.
Come on folks, we're taking about a film here and everyone's entitled to give their feedback. Some of us liked it, some didn't. Leave it at that.
Unlike an answer to my post... :bang:
What a charming person you are...
I didn't like it because it purports an unbelievable fairytale yet depicts some pretty brutal stuff such as torture. There's also holes in the plot, such as the kids suddenly using good english. I just didn't find the film plausible TBH. Oh, and i'm not really a fan of the quiz show anyway, but I tried not to let that sway me in respect of the movie.
but whos right hepburn or kayjay.. .theres only one way to sort this... FIGHT!!!! (harry Hill)
Try to be less sensitive eh? I'm in no way flaming or insulting you, so just relax.
And because I felt like singling you out.
In many parts of India English is a first or second language, particularly toward the South. Remember, it was under British rule for a while. And to be honest, a lot of people over there speak it better than the people in Britain do. They're taught proper good old fashioned English. Trust me.
You'll have to excuse me but I do like to discuss things on internet discussion forums. Sure it's you opinion as it is mine, but this place would get rather boring quickly if we all kept our opinions to ourselves.
*** do u want it back hepburn![]()
Hmm... So I was seeing things when I read this was i?:
Even kids in the slums?
Discuss and exchange opinions by all means. Insult or flame me and i'll kick ass if it's undeserved. I'll excuse you this time but you're close to being on my ignore list now![]()
and kayjay... contact PCP he needs your advice
