Simon's 52 for 2026

Love that sundial, but low key for a sundial seems anathema, but I sill like it !

Ta. Yea, was a bit dubious about trying to get it low key, but the side light from the sun seemed to work.
It Does! and the shadow helps it work nicely

Nicely taken - subject suits the low key effect & mono conversion.

Nice one Simon :)

Photo is cool too :)

Great Idea!

Nicely composed and shot. I might have been tempted to get rid on the green reflection on the bottom of the jar, but it's no big thing.

Thanks Nick. Good point re the reflection.

I used to love a dram now and again. Gave up drinking two years ago, just to see if I could. Sometimes I miss it and think, I could have a drop..

I think the composition is great and still life is an area I really struggle with, so well done :)

Cheers Adam. I struggle with this sort of thing normally. I’m much more a “go for a wander and snap what intrigues me” sort of photographer!

Week 11 - The Colour Red

Had a good mooch around Cardiff whilst waiting for my car to be serviced and MOT'd (it failed :(), but was rewarded with some good opportunities for this week's theme on an otherwise dull and wet day. I nearly went with the Ivy shot, which I quite like, but stumped for the cars (and the person in the background in a red coat that I didn't initially see), as a little more thought went into that shot.

Like the shot you chose, might have gone with the dragon to celebrate after the first win for 3 years

A nice varied set there :)
