Simon's 52 for 2025

Yep - sure is. Hope it doesn't rain!

Fingers crossed you can show off the new one for a different theme, this one certainly did the trick this week!

Week 28 - Portraits

A tricky one for me as I'm not into portrait photography at all, and none of my family (cat included are usually willing subjects. However, managed to snap this one of my better half on a trip to Tenby today. Shhh... don't tell her

Good portrait of your other half, well done for stepping out of your comfort zone.

Nice shot, we may not see you for a while when she finds out though

Week 29 - Vibrant

Three offerings this week in between golf and golf trips (too many hobbies!)

Apologies for lack of commenting on other people's posts, but golf has rather got in the way in the last couple of weeks with two separate trips.

Fishermen on Penarth Pier. This is my chosen one - although I like the sunflowers below, I felt that was a bit obvious, so I've chosen this one with the hi-vis popping as it's a slightly different take for the theme.

The sunflowers were at the top end of Cliff Road , and made a lovely shot, though as I said above, a bit obvious for the theme. I wanted to have something a little left field.

In an ideal world, this Cardiff electric bus in it's eye popping orange livery might have been the one, but I got the sky all wrong.

A good set. The Sunflowers work best for me.

I like your chosen shot, but I think I would have been tempted to look at cropping out the second hi-viz dude so the attention is all on the one in front.
Cheers Kell. I did have another shot with just the one bloke in but felt the two worked better.
What do I know

Like your chosen shot, the bus with a blue sky would have been popped it though :)

Great shot Simon, I like your chosen shot the best, vibrant and a creative take on the theme.

I’d have chosen the anglers, sunflowers seem a bit obvious as you say and there’s life & action on the pier

Week 30 - Body Parts

Yeesh - where does the time go. Golfing and a poorly car have scuppered any attempt at creativity this week.

Swimmers at Penarth with just parts of their bodies showing.

A nice arrangement!

That works well Simon, I knew you would be headed in the right direction with this one....
