That's a good take on the theme. I like the trouble someone has gone to with painting transoms and mullions on the boarding.
Works for me and ticks the theme off nicely.
Works for the theme.
Were there other angles possible, or did this give either the best view or the one you wanted?
lol fair.knowing my luck someone would shout at me for hopping over the wall.
a good take on the theme, pity about the building.
Love the fact that they've painted the window boards. We usually just have raw plywood nailed over openings where I am.
I imagine that was a lovely building some time since. I like your processing - it does suit the subject.
That's a good find, as others have noted there are many points of interest, I like your choice of colours, very natural looking.
Lovely building some time ago.. Works for the theme and processing suits the shot, feel the same about going over the wall for the angle![]()
I like the composition, the washed out look has worked.
Washed out works much better than B&W here, brings out the painted windows.

Very nicely shot, good take on the theme.
good image for the theme and as you say you will probably need that tomorrow.
Good shot for the theme, best get a spare asap as youmaywill be in trouble if another bulb fails![]()
Good take on the theme![]()
It works great in colour, the yellow filaments jump out against the red of the BG.
A good sacrifice. Smashing image!
... see what I did there ... I'll get my coat.
Nicely boshed and shot Simon![]()
That's a nice shot, well thought out and composed.
Nicely broken. I did giggle to myself about the plastic bulb and hammer.
I had also thought about using a broken bulb but didn't have any glass bulbs.
I'm liking this shot a lot. Great colours and composition.
As others have said, that's a really good image.
Glad you didnt stand on it, the focus and DOF is really enticing.
A really striking shot - the yellow focus point draws the eye in to the photo and then the broken glass provides the context.
A lovely shot Simon and that splash of yellow works well.
