I can’t say exactly what it is about that post shot, but it’s great.

Maybe it’s the contrast against the sky.

Maybe it’s the off centre crop and the fact the speaker is facing in.

Maybe it’s both. Or neither.

Whatever it is, I like it.

Plane shots are great too.
 
That's an awesome set Simon! I quite like your post shot and images of the planes are really good.

Thank you, it is a very strange front end on that plane. It doesn't seem very aerodynamic.

Trying to keep the grass alive before the heat kicks in over the next couple of days. This feels like a bit of a lazy shot but my excuse is that I have lots of things planned over the weekend so time is limited. Also, the wife is away so I must keep on top of watering the new plants at the back otherwise I might get told off! :ROFLMAO:

That's a great one Simon, the shallow depth of field and the colour pop of the sprinkler and the out of focus flowers in the background make for a pleasing image.
 
I think you are safe for the moment as everything seems to be thriving!
Good composition, like it.

Post: I agree, it makes a great shot but can't quite put my finger on it. Perhaps it's the colour blend of the metallic against the sky?
Water: Nicely composed. My lawn now crackles when I walk on it and we're being asked not to use hosepipes. I dream of rain!!
 
I like the depth of field you’ve chosen. Our lawn extremely brown now. We briefly had some heavy drops of rain and thunder this afternoon, but nowhere near enough rain :(

Black and white makes for a very dramatic picture and the hands stand out more.
 
It is a creepy shot Simon, but it does have a handle in. I'd definitely give it a pass.

Ha cheers, it was the effect I was going for.
 
The mono processing really brings out the texture. It is quite creepy but says handle to me.....
 
It has been a busy weekend for me doing extra shifts at work and I was struggling to think of something dusty that hadn't already been done in the main thread. Thought I would relax with a game on the computer and then I thought I would see how dusty that was!

My word this needs a little bit of TLC.

I did tweak the picture in lightroom in order to bring out the dust a little more.

That dust gets everywhere. On theme and the orange casing is photogenic. I hope you could still relax and enjoy your game after seeing all that dust :)
 
Fans are so good as dust magnets. Nice bit of lateral thinking - fits the theme perfectly.

Nice one Simon. I remember well the days I used to delve inside PC's to change parts, clean the dust. In the end I went all Apple and bought an iMac that you can't get into!
 
Amazing how dusty the inside of a well-used desktop can get isn't it? Good shot Simon!.

I used to upgrade my computers quite regularly, I try and avoid it now if I can!

Onto the next theme, aren't the weeks passing by quickly?

The food was delivered today and out came the strawberries. I thought a close-up of the delicious food would be the aim for today. A bit of a fiddle with the camera settings and a bit of tweaking in Lightroom and I'm happy with the happy results.

and yes it was berry tasty!
