I know there's always a big difference between RRP and street prices, but every one of those RRP's is still way higher then what the lenses can be bought for today. It looks a bit of a gimmick
Even the "new" price is about £700 too much....

If they are dropping the RRP's it stands to reason that the "wholesale" price to retailers is dropping too, therefore the retailers will pass some of this on to us (hopefully).
But that's not the street price. before the drop the srp was £3000 ish but a new one could be had around £2400, so I'd expect to see the 120-300/2.8 in the shops around the £1800 mark, forcing used sales to be around £1200/1400!
