Can't remember how I converted this about 25 years ago but think it looks quite good:-


And there is a program (or plug) that simulates a tilt shift lens, here is my first attempt last year (haven't used it since):-

To be honest, the posters here are usually nothing but receptive to feedback - that's why the line feels so blurred sometimes, because it's always taken constructively (and given constructively, which always helps!).

Besides, we can always blame the film :thumbs:

I really need to find an equine/ovine/bovine subject to have a go at an Osh style photo...just love the look of them.

Looks like a nice lens for bokeh and sharpness, good stuff.
 
At the millennium bridge the other day, trying my first home dev/scan though not too entirely happy with the results since alot of the pics turned out very grainy :(

I've just got 2 rolls of slide film back from AG Photographic (Provia & Velvia) that I shot on a Kowa 6 in Fuertaventura last month (it's pretty rare to be able to shoot iso50 in this country..). I haven't scanned them yet but all I can say is wow and I can see why people shoot slide film, they really are like little stained glass windows!

I'll get them scanned tonight but I'm already seeing my bank balance depleting through wanting to shoot more of them :0)

I've got some Velvia 50 and 100 for trade in the classifieds if you have any other 120 film you want to swap it for.
 
I've actually just bought a box of Acros 100 for the Chester meet but I've still got a couple of rolls of Provia/Velvia so I think I'm ok for the moment but cheers for the heads up.

I think I prefer the first one. It just looks a little more contemplative to me with her looking slightly down and away from the camera. Kind of makes you wonder what she's reading!? Also I think the dog's "pose" reflects that too.
 
Interesting idea but not sure the two would work together being so similar.

(Ok, and I don't have the Photoshop skills to create one either ...... )

Wow, that's a LOT of pics, Bo! Quite liked no 4 (wonder if you'd thought of changing the angle to get the heads away from the skyline). Very much liked no 5, and no 6 (the sax-playing cabbie) is a cracker!

Presumably these were tkane with your M6 (lucky blighter)? What lenses were you using?

Hi Chris, thanks for the comments first.

For that No.4 pic, if I went down on my knee, it would make the skyline right across their necks. And I couldn't get any higher angle. So that was the best angle came in my mind at that moment. Any suggestion on what angle you think might be better? Cheers!

Yes, I took those pics with my M6. There are 2 lenses I have: 35mm f/2 asph and 50mm f/2. I love the 50 one very much in every way and I am not really a fan of 35mm. I just can't get good photos with 35mm most of time. That's why I am about to sell it now.

There is some really good stuff being put up here... To counter that, here is a contribution from me.

On Sunday, I paid the staggeringly high price of £1 for a Kodak No. 2 Brownie Box camera. The shutter needed some work to get it going again and it needed a good clean. The viewfinder mirrors and ground glass needed cleaning to transform the blur into an actual image and then the taking lens also required cleaning. A quick going over with some liquid shoe polish made the vinyl covering look new again.

My first mistake was loading the film and winding on to No 1 with the shutter open. This obviously created a frame of nothingness and impacted on the next image.

All of the images have suffered from a light leak around the (very light) red frame number window. I hope some darker red film will cure this. If not, a gaffer tape cover will have to be employed.

Not too bad for a 100 year old camera made from wood, metal and (mainly) cardboard.

Very reasonable results from a camera that is 100 years old. I'm sure being at web size helps, but even then they still look good.
 
Well now, two contrasting sets of images from wildly different cameras..... both of which really float my boat.

Bo, welcome, and a very nice introduction it is. A lovely set of interesting and varied shots, I look forward to seeing more.

Steve, superb. Given the age of the camera it amazes me that you can get such wonderful shots.

Thanks for the comment. I am really new to photography so more practice is needed. Hopefully I can get some decent photos in the future. I wish it won't take very long.

The simple lens is actually quite good. If I can cure the light leak I think it will be fine.

It's nice to have a medium format point and shoot camera with minimal controls!

Very nice Paul, especially the statue in front of Edinburgh Castle, and the storm! But others are interesting too, inc the crazy red light fitting (assuming that's what it is!)...
 
Now, I realise posting this may be a huge mistake as I'm fully aware this chap almost certainly has many extremely embarrassing drunken photos from our nights of alcoholic excess and kebab consumption but here goes. Let's see if he notices...

Thanks Chris, much appreciated! The big light thing is an enormous conical Christmas tree-esque structure they build on the sea front in Funchal, Madeira, every year. It's huge so I snapped this by wandering into the middle of it and sticking the camera on a tripod to do a long exposure at night. :)
 
Do i have to dig out the photo of you at malham cove now?
