Show us yer film shots then!

Some photos from bank holiday weekend in copenhagen
F3 + Foma 200 + Rodinal 1+25 + V300 + Photoshop

I do quite like Foma films, they have really nice tones but what's the mark across the frame, is that a camera, processing or scanning problem?

Tom, Brian - those are some really nice portraits of two very different looking subjects.

Posted some trolley images 11 pages back. Here are some more. Still Ektar 100 and on the GF670. These are all shot around the Brent Cross shopping centre in residential areas.

These trolley shots always make me smile, it's turning into a really great series.

These were taken with my newly acquired Rank Mamiya Rangefinder (thanks again Mustanir!)

I like these, they have a 1980's look to them, what film was it?

Following the recent board activity on the Fuji GW690 need/lust/purchase front, here is a sample image from early 2012 using my ex-Japan well-worn version.

I'm very curious to see even more Fuji Rangefinder photos, especially given the recent flurry of activity on the board. (Un)fortunately, I'm completely broke at the moment, otherwise I'd be scouring the internet looking to pick up one of my own...

My own contribution to the thread today is a photo I've previously posted in the critique section, but I've reworked it a bit and I'm quite happy with how it's come out this time around.

Playing about rescanning and getting the dust and crud clonned out!

Trevor, IMO they all need quite a bit of increase in exposure (unless that is intentionally the look you are going for).

You're right..I'll revisit them later..

This thread is so damned addictive!

I'm in the process of rescanning my negs as the results I can get now are much better than when I first bought the scanner so I keep digging bits up I'd forgotten I'd shot. Plus playing with film and photos is just plain good old fun! :D

A few from Madeira shot on Superia 100 and scanned on a V500:

Hey Paul...loving the Ship and the Sunbeams:thumbs:

I got back from Fuerteventura at 3am this morning. Along with my digital kit I took my Kowa Six with a box of Provia/Velvia because I've been wanting to shoot some slide film for ages but ISO 50/100 film doesn't really fit with UK weather!

Once I've got it developed i'll put some up here but in the meantime, does a digital photo of an analogue film camera count? ;0)

Cheers
Steve

Nice looking camera Steve, classic old time 6x6. I suspect the designers at Rollei were influenced by this machine.

Had a free couple of hours for a walk up in the hills, went from this

to this....

uncomfortably quickly. This is the first roll I put through the zenit-e even the "meter" works. The industar lens is very peculiar but seems to do a decent enough job.

Shot with some seriously ood Kodak Colour Plus and soup by asda (thus the dust)

Yup, it's really nice to use too and certainly stands out from the crowd of holiday compacts. The build quality is fantastic and still feels like it was made yesterday.

Thanks those pictures look great. I've never tried Velvia 100 - in what way is it different to Velvia 50?

Some what belatedly.

I prefer the look of Velvia 100 to 50 to me it's more accurate in its colour reprensentation although I suspect many would disagree also the finer grain and extra stop are not to be sniffed at as I mostly shoot garden type landscapes and have a reflection fetish motion blur cann be an issue and once or twice a year I foolishly attempt a 1:1 shot on 10x8 this is just not funny with 50's reciprocity characteristics.

I found Tim Parkins film comparrision an interesting read I guess I'll try Porta some when but I kind of expect to be disapionted.

Lots more great shots from you Osh

Thank you for your coments on my photos Chris and Trevor the colour in your test shots from your Ensign looks nice and natural.

I like fred2511's Delta 100 portrait shots.

While I like Woodsy's 5x4's I'm not entirely convinced I like Portas pallette.

The recent shots scanned on a Dainippon Screen DT1045AI at about 1600dpi 8000 would be silly and 3200 means stiching and ending up with a 9Gb PSB ...

Abbandon - superb quality on those scans! Lovely stuff.

Well, it's 01:25am and I'm up fiddling with little strips of plastic with pictures on them (as you do), so I thought I'd post a few more randoms I've come across as I continue rescanning stuff.

This massive 35 metre tall statue sits on top of a hill overlooking Murmansk in Russia. It's a damned impressive sight!

This was taken on the military base at Severomorsk, home of Russia's Northern Fleet. The ship in the background is Petr Velikiy, the flagship of the Northern Fleet and she was the target ship of the Kursk during the exercise in which that submarine was tragically lost.

This statue's in the centre of the base at Severomorsk. They like a good statue in Russia!

Thank you Paul clearly everyone should be up alnight fiddling with scanners its the only way to live ... just about to lob the second drum into the screen for another batch.

I have to agree with Trevor the cruise ship and the crepuscular rays are great shotsand that statue is certainly momumental in scale.

Had my son at the Meet Thomas the Tank day at the local steam raliway, I AM Thomas daft...

.

Corrected that for you Steveo as we all know what you really meant to put.....

I'm sure your little lad is pleased that his dad enjoyed Thomas!:D

This to me is just a wonderful photograph, that says 'this is 5am in the morning on a summers day and look what is going to happen'

I love everything about the shot, send it to the castle PR department, I bet they will be in contact with you.

I agree with Richard, a beautiful, serene shot.

And guys, this is another great page, quality work all the way from the top down.
