Love that escalator shot LLoyd, my type of candid street image. Lots going on, and great use of lines.
- never got any results i've been overjoyed with, with HP5. Used it lots in 35mm with lots of different developers and just blaahh. Got better results with Tri-X, Neopan and even FP4 pushed carefully.
I'm a big fan of FP4, very consistent, great tones, grain thats visible but just visible, for artsy grain, i tend to push tri-x.
Here's some of Battersea on FP4 in Perceptol. Hasselblad 500CM. 80mm.
Yup, not a fan. Grain is too obtrusive (Fomapan renders a better look if I wanted grain), detail is usually only so-so, the tones are far inferior compared to, say, any of the Fuji Neopan films... not sure why it's so popular!
