Show us yer film shots then!

@viewfromthenorth I love the third & fourth shots there, wonderful work.

Hi all,

My first home-developed roll just got scanned and uploaded, so I'm very pleased to be able to take part in this thread for the first time!

These taken with a Canon A1, 50mm f/1.4, Ilford HP5+ and Fotospeed chemicals. Plenty of dust and water spots, but overall I'm pretty pleased (and relieved!) with how they've turned out. Maybe lacking some contrast, but a slight curves adjustment sorts that out.

Not sure about the edges of the ski slope (assuming) signs on the right ;)

But yeah, that is quite something.

So then! Having finally bought my scanner, I have been scanning my 5x4 B&W negs dating back to September 2011. These are a selection of the 12 I scanned this evening, and are my first photographs made on the LF. Be gentle :)

@Woosdy I love that last shot, the rocks & the flowing water look beautiful. What was the exposure time? Beautiful work.

Love the rendering of the sky on number 1 Woodsy. What film are you shooting your LF stuff in?

I think 3 is my favourite though, something about the waves breaking on the shoreline that I like

Love the first one Adam, I would have to spot it but that's just me. It's a great expression and really well captured

Many thanks fella :) I'm currently shooting Adox CHS25 with (mostly) a yellow filter. Want to shoot some acros as well when I get round to buying some. Provia seems to have gone down lately as well, might have to get a box of that :)

Nowt very exciting, just finished off a roll of Portra 400 in my Praktica BX20s:

Thanks Ed, I need to find myself some more of the Kodak BW400CN film as I have been really pleased with the results.

And I though the light meter had been playing up with this film...

Light meter probbaly was playing up, if you had it C41 developed BW400CN will hide almost any mistake in metering.

Top stuff Nick, like it lots.

@Adam_M I love that first photograph, of the kid in the goggles. Gorgeous hahaha.

Well I had a job interview today and had some time to kill afterwards so I was hell bent on rattling off some film. I used the all plastic Halina 1000 as I had a change of clothes and trainers in my backpack to get changed into after the interview and there wasn't room for an SLR :( Anyway, a few from town today:

I actually walked past this guy with the intention of a candid portrait (he had an interesting face) but I sat down on a bench instead and waited for him to walk past. It may not be a great shot but I actually really like it :)

I'd also like to say that the LF photographs posted by Woodsy are sensational.
Thanks for looking

Loving these Nick, all top shots.

after 200 pages, I have forgot what I have or have not posted !

I think I will need one of those feeding bag that hooks over the ears soon !

erm I still fancy a cigarette after giving it up about 4 years ago :(

I've done 11 years now and still occasionally fancy a big, fat cigar....

Liking the shot Matt.
