Show us yer film shots then!

Looking good....your footpath signs are more posh than the ones down my way.

Canterbury is one of the loveliest town. Do you recall the greyfrair's cottage? Just beautiful...

Maybe it's a Sign ???
Nice sign too. One of my favourites is on Cut Gate, a packhorse way that traverses the remove Howden Moors between Langsett and Ladybower. In the middle of nowhere there's one pointing to two places that no longer exist. South is Derwent Village - drowned under the reservoir many years - north is Bullhouse Station, long gone as is the railway it served.
Very atmospheric as the sun is setting and you're still miles from civilisation.

I've missed proper mountainbike rides like those this year - just haven't had the fitness and faith in my knee after this winters crash.:( Remember doing a bit of an epic, that involved both the gates - Doctors and Cut. Maybe if I can keep the rubber side down for another 6 months or so I'll be back up to speed

Here's a couple more shots - of the bike this time (just messing around and testing the new EOS-30 out really)

I'm a bit heavy for XTR, no longer a racing snake

I've got an On-One fixed wheel. Hard work round
here.
Singlespeeds and Fixed gears just don't mix with my knees at the moment:thumbsdown:

I'm more of a Super Record/Chorus man myself :)
Well on the roadbike, I've definitely been there. Had a Harry Quinn 753 with old school Super Record BITD, along with others, but after returning to the bike 4-5 years ago, I seem to have stuck with Shimano - again just a notch down from the top level, as I've no intention whatsoever to go racing, and I'm a bit heavy for the top-end kit, so Ultegra does me fine :)

I'm just looking at getting a new On-One frame to take all my 29'er gear, my old Gary Fisher Rig is getting a little past it.

Thought I better get some film shots in and bring this back on topic ;)

There's a picture here somewhere (I think)...... took the shot and thought I work it out on the computer, well played with cropping and given up:-

I have a 21" scandal frame waiting to be built up as my new 29er work bike, big fat road balloon tyres (probably schwalbe big apples) to make for easy work of tarmac, hard pack stuff kerbs and stairs :)

I have to say, I was half tempted by the Glow-in-the-Dark 456 for winter/nightriding - though really, for the off-road stuff I'm doing now, a Uncle John would be a better bet.

I still love the story of how the Uncle John got it's name :naughty:

I have a Lemond Poprad which I use for nearly everything, I've done time trialling long distance riding and even a bit of cyclo cross on it.

I really enjoy images that show some wonderful reflections. I really like this one. The grittiness makes it for me. Have you ever tried to flip one of these upside down? I believe this one will work out because it will hide the sky. All in all I like this one. :)

Hey never thought of upside down, might win a prize for an unusual shot :)

Surely, if he turns it upside down, all the water will pour out of the pond

sweet..

surreal, all that movement in the boats...

we must have stood on the same spot..

Don't think there is any spot in St ives which hasn't been photographed.
Enjoyed the time there watching people take pictures next to me, with flash ;)

When Portra 400VC meets Seagull 4A TLR meets somewhere nicer than England:

love the first one. but to be honest - good thing I haven't bought one. the colours seem to be a bit pale. I don't mind the vignetting that much, but - there were no lens hoods or filters on right ? the vignetting comes from the camera itself ?!

Vignette is probably from the UV filter rather than the camera itself. As for the pale colours, the film is Kodak Portra (VC or NC, low contrast is normal)
I rather enjoy using my Seagull though I do admit it isn't the best camera in the world. Fine for a cheapskate like me though

Yes, I'm aware of the shots being Portra. where or on what did you scan them ? that's hugely important as well .

I bet it was the UV filter that caused the probs, I've had the same issues.

Do you normally get more vibrant photos on Portra?
I scanned these on my Canon 8800F flatbed scanner.
