Show us yer film shots then!

I am trying some new things with the scanner. Some I like and some I don't. I set the scanner to vibrant and batch scanned 30 images. Let me know if they are too exaggerated. The Camera was an old school Pentax K1000, SMC-M50, UlTRA MAX 400
I forgot that this meter tends to underexpose about 1/2 stop or so.

Hanging out.

A bit too much colour saturation, but it doesn't annoy me and the pictures are sharp but on my monitor some are too bright? esp the last one.

I'm trying to work out whether the scanner software has been rather too aggressive with the highlight control here. Bleached to white would be preferable to a pants-washed-too-many-times grey :suspect: :D

Aside from that, I do rather like the shot.

Set of three.

If it was a 12 month deadline I might consider it :)

Go on - it's easy - just take the film camera out, and pretend its like the Digital and press the shutter more than 3 times a year

Seriously - It's beginning to look like we're struggling for entries - it's only the second attempt we've had at running it, and personally, I'd like it to continue, but it can't continue without someone entering. Okay - maybe this months is a bit close to ending now, to shoot, process and upload - but you said you needed a project, how about trying the third one (when it's announced after #2 goes to voting)

Richard, absolutely love the slide film from 1971.Love the colours, love the grain, love the movement in the pics, fantastic.

I might. It's the workflow with film... there's just so much more of it compared to plugging the camera in via usb!

I think they are ok on the vibrancy setting, its not messing with skin tones so they look fine, they stand out a bit more, stylistic...individual and very definitely a JGredline product..:)

LOL I never seen a sunshade as large as that in the 2nd shot.

Sorry for reposting all three pictures, but I like all three. well done.

Thanks Javier, kind of you to say so.

Your shot of the bench called texting away is again a good capture you seem to have a nack with that kind of photograph, very natural.

From the latest roll of Fuji 800 returned from Photo Express.

Excellent quality on your set of photo,s, I love the wonderful natural colour that you have achieved.

No 1 for me, excellent shot with colours that suit the subject.

Ah! a raincoat train-spotter ;)

Partly guilty.

Having a three-year-old train-obsessed son tends to sharpen up your observation skillz :)

(though his major things are LNER A4 Pacifics and Southern Schools Class locos)

Yes, it would be nice for people to quote the post then delete the images!

More small snap shots of real life.

LOL..Notice it is empty inside. This part of town is one of the most down trodden in L.A. I am rarely on this side of town, but when I am I break out a camera I can afford to loose in case I get robbed.
The Area is Compton, Ca.

So we won't be seeing any night shots of this area ;) .

Very nice indeed

Thanks. I must try to get up early more often!!

I like the way the cloud breaks up the color. Nice capture.

I think I need to work on my scanning workflow, as these 2 Velvia scans were a bit hit and miss, and I am still not really happy with them but the 400x scans all scanned very easily. Might be time to invest in some it8 targets
