Show us yer film shots then!

I've never seen anythoing quite like those white spots before.:thinking:

This is one of the shots with the contrast adjusted to show up the dots more...

The dots aren't sll circular or all the same size, and while there doesn't appear to a regular pattern to them, the spacing does seem curiously regular.

My gut feeling is it's something in the paper - either a bad batch or some sort of contamination. which would seem borne out by the only reference I could find...

just to add to the confusion i've got a couple of 5x4 negs which have similar (but bigger) marks caused by rain drops hitting the front filter (long exposure stuff), could this have been condensation on the lens?

Good thinking, but I can't really see them being in focus on the lens/filter especially when focused at landscape distance?

depends on the length of the exposure, i was hitting 20 minutes with mine so they showed up but those don't really look as long... was a thought though
 
I'd love to know the answer - this stuff drives me nuts. :D
 
Wow you guys love a mystery.

Just to confirm conditions then

Camera - F5 (no ridges on the film back, I checked)
Lenses - 50mm F1.2 and 300mm AF ED (Both lenses have fungus although I've a lot of rolls and this is the first time I've seen polka dot pattern.
Film - Fuji400h (possibly expired but others bought from same seller fine)
Development- snappy snaps
Scanner - epson v300 (scanned thousands of negs without issue)

Minimal PP done.

Is it only the Fuji with spots ?
Did you have any other colour neg film developed at the same time as the Fuji ?
 
What sure what the general 'vibe' is on Holga's and the like here, they're a bit like Marmite on photography forums... But two from my Holga. Which fell down a cliff just before I took these them...

Both shot on HP5, dev'd in Rodinal 1:1
 
The first one is beautiful, the second one is Holga marmite.
The difference between the two is striking, but that is part of the Holga's charm :)

It's bizarre to think there's less than a minute between the two photographs. Holga 'charm' indeed! :P

:agree: the first is really excellent and a fine example of what brilliant results can be had from Holga... :thumbs: ...

... but the comments on the second are insulting to Marmite imhgo... :naughty:

Some from me on my latest aquisition - a £10 charity shop camera (Minolta XG9) with 50mm f/1.7 lens on Fuji Sensia 100 slide. Some shots were made B&W in PS as it fitted and also because Sensia gives everything a horrible red cast... really can't wait to finish my last roll and be done with it.

That's an awesome shot cherryrig. Nice to see some flash stuff with Bronica - you're so good at it :thumbs:
 
Have come back to using 35mm film camera after using the film medium format camera at college. I love spending time in the darkroom and am getting back into film processing and developing in a big way.
First time I've posted pics so hopefully I'll do it correctly.

Oh thought you would browse images frm your gallery - but doesn't seem to work like that.

Actually I dont know how to do it and it's late - i'll come back to it when less tired.
 
OK checked the useful stickies to find out how to do it - let's have a go now.
