Show us yer film shots then!

I'm on a different username on UE forums, just use this username for emails sake.

Got some better ones of different places somewhere, but they're not uploaded yet :)

the 19-35mm is OK for film, but not really for digital, it purple fringes, flares & focuses really badly. For film it seems to focus correctly 99% of the time (battered eos300), but on digi (equally battered 20d) its probably more like correct 20-25% of the time, shockingly bad.
SHould I post some more?

faster4_tec, love to see some more.

A few more urbex ones of mine, all with a Nikon F100,

Heaven is smiling at the amazing images from a fine-14yo!

Keep encouraging him, he has a wonderful talent & potential.

Blimey! He's got a good eye for a photo, keep him supplied with film!

Thanks fellas, I'll know he'll be made up with the encouragement.........got a feeling a young teenager and a film camera is gonna cost me in processing

Gonna look at getting him a small rangefinder, canon canononet, Leica CL something like that so that he gets more used to manual side of things and slows down a bit, the EOS400 whilst a great camera still in my opinion makes life too easy.........better to learn in manual and read the light then move onto an SLR with metering and different shooting modes if he wants...............or am I way off the mark.

I know shooting film in my late teens gave me a greater appreciation, before I moved onto DSLR and have now gone back to film ;)

Heres a shot I took a few weeks ago with a roll of Kodak Ultra Max 400 and my Zenit Em with the 58mm lens and UV filter.

hsl0so.jpg

It shows the old brick pits near where I live which are now a lake and the now unfortunately disused chimneys as well as the new office buildings they are building. The lake is a massive country park now.
It looks better when printed as its been compressed quite a lot and the scanner made it very reddy coloured so I have had to adjust it a bit.

Some Ilford xp2

C41 or B/W chemistry ?

I've shot a roll after reading some good reports, can't make my mind up whether to send it to the lab for C41, or process it myself in Rodinal...or something..:)

Ilford XP2 is c41 and as close to true black and white, with out it being black and white. I really like it for the ease of use.

I like it, it looks quite contrasty, but you never can tell looking at scans.

C41 it is then..:)

Haven't really shot anything worthwhile on film recently. I did get some test shots back from my first rolls of slide (Velvia 50). Real pain to scan or maybe my exposures are off (don't have a lightbox to judge, a lot of them seem dark, if I hold them real close to a desklamp I can see a lot of shadow detail that the scanner is missing).

Rolleicord Vb

Can only seem to bracket in full stops with the above cameras rather than the preferred 1/2 or 1/3 stops.

They're stunning pictures! I've just - for the second time - become the proud owner of an Olympus OM10, so I hope to upload some pics soon too! So excited. I really missed my old camera.

StIves, all Velvia 50

My god, that beach one is banging, you should see the slide:love:

Joxby, your shots are legendary!!! I love St Ives and you've captured it beautifully - it looks like some exotic riviera location. I don't think you can get shots like these with digital photography.

None of them technically perfect, all of them fantastic images. Amazing work.

Thanks - yeah, they're not 'pixel perfect' (or pixel anything!) but I'm glad you like them.

Have re-sized them now too - sorry about that!

love both of those vmlopes, great colours and lovely composition on both

Crikey bob Vmlopes... ... you coulda tidied your front room and polished your shoes before subjecting them to photographs... :naughty:

Seriously... ... :agree: ... and I'm loving both of those images to bits... ... nice takes m8... ;)

What film are you using for these? It's rendering the colours excellently

There all taken with a Leica M4, Leitz Summicron 50mm f/2 on Fuji Superia 200, and all done at my local Asda 1hr  I do know the guy there though...........;)

daveharlow, have you joined the trip 35 group on flickr?

there pretty cool shots, i agree, the focussing is pretty hard to begin with, im only on my second roll but love the little thing.
