Show us yer film shots then!

I'd go panoramic.

That would depend on what was out of the picture and to the side. Try covering all of the light track ar the bottom, leaving the path in bottom left and see what you think.

A few from the Ness Islands Railway run by Highland Hospice in Inverness. Steam engine Chrissy needs settled weather to run all day, so that can be rare in the Highlands! Nikon F80, Tamron 28-75, 510 Pyro 1:100. (and it's not just for kids ;) )

It's slightly soft, but not too bad considering it was handheld at 1/10sec. I have a very similar shot taken with my Yashica Mat at the same time and that one is sharp, probably because it was shot at waist level and I had the strap to add support. I'll post it tomorrow.

Great photos Nige ..................but how does widening the aperature decrease the shutter speed?
A 1 second exposure is faster than a 2 second exposure so it is an increase in speed but a decrease in duration. The speed of the shutter movement remains the same the exposure is determined by how long it is held open therefore going from a 2 second exposure to a one second exposure is decreasing the duration the shutter is held open.

No PP

Quite a bit of corn growing in our area this year which I have not seen to this extent before.

I think Nige has answered the question (y)

It doesn't. I should have said "increase". :)

Quite chuffed with the canon. Annoyingly ruined quite a few shots with my own fat finger that somehow was wafting around like a sausage in about half a dozen of the first lot. Then realised what I'd been doing so hopefully will not be as dumb again but there's no guarantee of that
