Show us yer film shots then!

Awesome!!!

That is just beautiful Andy.

Thanks guys and yes Trev on the 690 dammit...I wish I liked using it more as it really is a top bit of kit but I just find it boring somehow....

Hee Hee I like that. ^^^

Shot that with my Zeiss Ikonta M last weekend, not sure it would come out as well as it did.
still getting used to finding the range with the rangefinder and then transfering it to the lens.

really pleased with this had the lens set to its biggest Ap F4.5 and closest focus setting 1.3metre.
Just imagine how difficult macro shots must have been in the 50s

Cheers guys, here's another one.

Tonquin Beach near Tofino on Vancouver Island. Didn't quite get the colours in the sky I'd hoped for but it wasn't bad.

And one more. Same place same set up but better sky and I think I nailed the exposure on this one.

Nice sky, I'd have preferred more of it in the photo though, and less of the sea/beach, I feel that the beach kind of detracts from the lovely sky. A bit more like this imo:

Yes, I see what you mean. Definitely works for the first one, I shall edit as suggested.

Cheers Tom.

Well, I couldn't really see the effects of the mirror slap in the swan shot until I viewed the larger image on Flickr, so I guess it's only a huge worry if you need to print in a larger size, but it works as a small web size.

What speed were you handholding? I know that I'm usually okay with my SQ-A as long as I stick to at least 1/125, but I'm guessing the larger size of the mirror in the RB would require an even faster speed.

Yeah its fine until you look for it, I think I'm being a little hard on myself due to getting so few shots out of the four rolls I had done.

No idea, it wasn't actually as bright as it looks so I think I was struggling with shutter speed/useable dof. I don't think the mirror in the RB is that bad, the problem I have is the fractional delay after the mirror goes then the shutter does and I keep forgetting and moving once the shutter trips.

So got my first batch of velvia from the RB67 back and I've munged them, well mostly and most of them. They are to a frame over exposed, only where I was aiming for under did they come out acceptably. I had less trouble with the folder, I think my phone (meter) measures a little high but the folder was a little fast so they balanced each other out but I need a better meter now preferably a spot. On the plus side, over exposed velvia is much easier on the scanner.

Managed to rescue this one, the (fast becoming) obligatory wildlife portrait.

Quite an unusual green there, Steven!

Bessa R3A, 40mm Nokton and Velvia 50. Taken about 5am.

Nice golden tones in the sunrise there Richard....I'm more prone to capture sunsets tbh as i hate mornings! lol.....some beautiful ones to capture here at tmes although those from Canada that Andy has shot are very nice especially Tonquin Beach Sunset 2.

RJ: that guy has got to be stood on something ...hasn't he??!!

Saying that I've come across some very tall people of late...makes me feel like a dwarf at 5'6" !! lol

Paul: The sunflower shot is ace...reminds me of Bill and Ben the flower pot men!

Steveo: The low down perspective suits the shot very well.... thumbs up from me!

Thanks Asha, I understand about the sunset time, but, unfortunately I am in the bar when that light happens. :)

errm, yeah now you mention it. I think I was staring at it too long last night it had begun to look normal. A side effect of my ineffective IT8 profiling and trying to rescue a chronically underexposed slide. Try it again later.

Cheers Asha. There was a big group of them and this was the only one looking to hold still long enough for me to focus, didn't fancy getting any closer to those horns though.

I was wandering around Edinburgh with my new Minolta Autocord on Wednesday and I encountered this unusually tall man:

I know but I'm not telling :D, in fact I've got a very similar shot from the festival last year.

I got some film back from the Rollei last week.

Both negs were really overexposed due to my complete failure to apply the correct filter compensation so I am really surprised at how these look.

I like 'em both :) FP4 is magic stuff I reckon, it can take a lot of punishment.

Perhaps there should be some sort of Festival meet up for the F&C crowd?

That's a good thought! If there's anyone else interested, perhaps a separate thread to discuss? (A problem for those from elsewhere not already booked is accommodation at that time...)

3 great street shots...must go for a walk with the Yashmat.

RJ, you are getting some really good work out of your Autocord, all I can say is Sharp, clean and crisp. What film did you use?

Very nice RJ, super sharp and lovely candid shots.

To be honest I love the pushed exposure in that second one! Really like the boats too although it's reminded me how much I like Adox 25, I want that stuff back. :(

It's great film, I have a couple of rolls left then that's my stock gone :(

Thanks, Trevor. I've found TLRs great for a bit of candid street shooting.

Many thanks! I'm impressed by what this nearly 50 year old camera is capable of.

These were all shot with Tri-X, which is fast becoming my favourite black and white film.

Very nice RJ, super sharp and lovely candid shots.

Andy

Cheers, Andy!

Thanks! I bought two rolls of the stuff ages ago and forgot about them. Loved the results from the first, but shooting everything at f 3.5 or on tripod is a bit of a pain. I'll have to make good use of the second. Also i must expose it properly. Note to self : a filter factor of 2 does not mean two stops. Furthermore, a light yellow filter does not have a filter factor of 2.

Went for a wander today with my new F75. Still using the kit 28-100 on it at the moment but will probably be replacing that with the 50mm 1.8D  Anyway, here are a couple of Jao inspired bike shots developed with the Rollei Digibase chemicals:

I'm not sure which one I prefer  Excuse the kink in the second shot I pinched the neg while taking it off the reel :bonk:

Thanks for looking as always

Just a couple low-res scans from the test roll I ran through the M6 + 50 lux :)

All on Fuji Pro 400H developed at local chain store

Erik, love those, a very nice subtle feel to them.
Chris, looking good so far, looking forward to seeing more.
Ariel, wow, thats got a really lovely look to it. Very retro.
