Have you tried these with an ND filter? In Italy it was REALLY bright so I used two ND8 filters stacked, compensated 8 stops(!) and was able to shoot at F2! Good fun.

One from my second roll of film through my Contax G2, using Ektar 100. The colours and sharpness are great, at least for me!

I have just got hold of some ND filter for doing just that, so I can shoot wide open. The last one of the church was using a 10 Stop filter but it did not have the dramatic effect I was after. Really need to use the 10 stoppers on more over cast days. :)

There really is something about this medium format slide film lark...
 
You do know that Velvia is really not recommended for people shots right? Because it over saturates oranges (i.e skin tones!) to red, people come out looking like their severely sunburnt!

You can slightly see that in your shot, not saying that its bad though, just a tip for next time.

Well aware of that, thanks for the tip though. When the light was as nice through the doors as it was, I thought it worth taking a snapshot!
 
I actually used some velvia for some portraits in the snow, it worked really well because it made the scene look warmer and sort of mystical (the main mystery being how could someone take such a poor photograph)

I don't think Ih ave seen a good example of the sunburnt effect yet, has anyone got one to explain this often heard point RE Velvia?

I have a couple with Velvia 100 where people were in the shot and they look clearly pretty red. Unfortunately I don't have any scans of them or a scanner that can do mounted slides at the moment. It can apparently depend on the lighting conditions and what sort of skin tone the person has.

I actually tried shooting street with Velvia 50. One of the many mistakes I have made. I also agree people come out ''sun burned crispy red'' down here with the L.A. sun. There is also only about two hours or so when the light is right and the images comes out real good...

Here are some presents I made for my housemates. For some reason, every door in our house has a polaroid of the room with us all doing something stupid in said room.

I've put these around the house, shoudl be quite funny when they find them.

Fuji FP3000B film, Orange sky filter, Polaroid 450 camera with self timer attachment

That's pretty cool. But I take it those shots are all done in one room with the same lighting?
 
Yes, just messing about. The conditions are far from ideal as the only empty white wall in my house for use as a background is half way up my stairs!!

Maybe I'll do some more, properly, at some point!!

Thanks! You can see some slight light leakage at the bottom right of some of the shots from where I changed the film pack top plate for a thinner metal one (Fuji plastic one is a little thick) but I did this in the lounge as opposed to the dark cupboard I normally use, for some reason. Ho hum.
 
ooh, fair enough - I'm in the opposite camp, would rather browse in another tab and keep reading comments here! :D These are all taken wth my Cosina PM-1 - I previously used a Canon 400D and everything came out so in focus and dull that I had to switch to something that seems to have an awful light leak, and expired film ;)

Candid. That's how she was lying on the bow of the boat and stayed that way while I grabbed my camera and took the shot.
 
They just punched through our wind shadow and we're getting passed during a race. One of the few times I use a metered TTL prism on this camera; otherwise, it's a WLF. It comes in handy for these situations.
