what the title says. would love to see some images from this lens at or near maximum aperture.

I have been questioning it for a little while actually, don't worry about it!

For my purposes I am beginning to think that just one lens isn't quite going to cut it, I really need something wider and a bit longer. the 85 seems perfect to cover my 'longer' side.

I like this. I am guessing you were near the minimum focussing distance? I would love to be able to take photos of cats close up and just have the face in focus with the rest disappearing into blurriness. There's a photo on the Internet somewhere with a cat taken against a similar background, but I'll be damned if I can find it.

Nope minimum focus difference would only get part of one eye in focus :lol:

The barbed wire shot was almost minimum.
