... And you'll lose that one too.I have bid as high as I would be willing to go... If it gets over that, I'll just bid on another one.Still nervous. lol
A little update... Instead of splurging for the Nikon, I took a more practical approach and got the 70-200 2.8 Tamron instead. Read great reviews (will let you know how it is) and it's a LOT cheaper. I have the 17-50mm 2.8 Tamron and absolutely love it, so thought I'd give Tamron all my money. Plus, I can put the money I saved towards something else...

Good choice, let us know how you get on with it, as I fancy one of these for my Canon.
Ok. Got the lens today... Very fast shipment. Ordered at 4pm yesterday, got it at 11am today. Sweet!
Initial tests vary. I slapped on an SB-600 for a few test shots and they were very sharp. I then tested in un-ideal conditions this afternoon. I was only getting 1/40 shutter speeds even with bumping up to ISO 400, so didn't get very sharp images there. I will test again and post some images when I do a thorough test in ideal conditions.
Isn't there a rule about telephoto's? You need to have a shutter speed of at least twice your focal length or something? So I'm at 200mm which means I'll need at least 1/400 shutter speed? I know it's possible with slower speeds, but I think I read this "rule" somewhere.
I don't mind a bit Kev.
And Alex, I don't have the steadiest of hands. I'm aware of camera shake at that focal length, etc, I'm just hyped about the new lens hoping it would be sharp at anytime at any shutter speed! lol. Here's to hoping.
I'm going to give it a full test when we get some sun around here. Been dreary lately.
