Does anyone have experience with this type of security camera? I want some for outside my house but don't really want to pay a monthly subscription service?
Great thanks for thisHi Ian,
The camera's are find and simple to install but the software is not very good, unless it has improved in the last few months.
Have a look at either ring or eufy, ring does have a subscription, eufy does not.
Ok thank you, I'll look at some of the higher end options then as suggested above too.We have Blinks. They're OK but I wouldn't rush to buy them again. I've already replaced 2 due to water ingress but in fairness, I hard wired them and this might've let the water in. IME, they suck batteries and you can't use alkaline either.
Resolution is fine in daylight but at night, our car registrations become mush, from 25 feet away if I zoom in.
I'm only carrying on with them to make them pay, once they die, I won't get them again.
I'd say 6 out of 10.

There's mention in the description of a "sync module" that lets you save video files to your pc or network drive if you have one. No idea what that item would cost you as it does not seem to be listed.
