I am thinking I should have a spare body in my bag (it would be a shame to trek down to somewhere like Le Mans or Rally GB and have a failure mean I didn't get any shots) but am stumped which way to go.
I already have a 1D Mk2 and thought a 1DS might make a good backup body plus give me full frame for landscapes and portraits.
Then I thought I might be better off with another 1D Mk2, or a 1D Mk2N as a direct replacement if required.
With the 1Ds or 1D Mk2 I like the idea of having shared spare batteries and chargers.
Finally as it is (hopefully) a spare body should I save a few quid and buy a 40D or something?
