Brilliant and so cute Charlie. Keep up the good work protecting the little darlings.
Sue

Charlie, that is an amazing shot. He is absolutely gorgeous. I have never even seen a red. We only have these wretched grey things.
That is a perfect interpretation of "stare".
Well done
Jenny
Lovely shot of the red Charlie. Keep up the good work!
Thank you. I was rewarded by being in the company of five reds this morning. One was so close that I could hear it crunching away at his breakfast.![]()
Lovely picture - glad to one of your reds getting into the 52.

have to say (I think) this is my first visit to this thread, and there are some lovely images.
I'll try and keep on top of things now that I've sorted myself out. Promise!
Anyway, I think your shot for Stare is stunning. Lovely capture of the red squirrel. I did take a trip up to Formby a while ago to try and get some for myself, but I have neither the gear or the patience to get shots anywhere close to this.
Ian.
A wonderful shot Charlie... I'm guessing from the angle and crop that you're still accepted in close by them ?

A quick catchup
Cracking Wullie shot as always Charlie![]()

Very nice. And I'm so glad you didn't perform an overcooked hdr jobbie on it! Doesn't look rather peaceful too, doesn't it![]()
Cheers. As to HDR. I wouldnt know where to start.![]()
Well, nothing wrong with them, but I'm not a fan of overcooked ones. Also, noticed my comment was missing a very valuable "it" in there!
Thank you all. I am glad you liked the "Stare"
I have been trying to help out a local colony of Reds for about three years now.
I can more or less guarantee to see one or two each day. Did have 10 all at the same time some time back now.
I feed them a good quality squirrel mix throughout the year. This means they are happy & I am broke most of the time.
In return for some food & now also some work to the woods they live in. I get to take some nice shots of them. Since starting to thin the woods I have also found my waist again too.
So all in all we are both happy with our lots.

Stare for me,had to be an opportunity to highlight one of my wee red pals!
This is Wullie, but then they all get called Wullie!
Wullie! That's Boris. Keep up man!![]()
