Hi Sarah, you have done a good job shooting the flower but I don't like the colour of it. I much prefer natural.

It is a bit different though, I can see why others would like them.

Afternoon sunshine

Such a lovely afternoon, thought I'd drive over to another of my favourite avenues. This one is at Warkton near Kettering. The avenue stretches from near the outskirts of Kettering, right up to Boughton House & then another path goes from the house up towards Stanion. You can see it all on Google earth, it just shows where the boundaries of the old estate parkland must have been.

Thank you. Apparently these limes are around 280 years old and were planted as part of 70 miles of avenues around Boughton House. So I have to thank John the Planter from all those years ago for getting them all lovely & symetrical & the beautiful Autumn light for the colour. My bit was easy, just stand there with my camera. :)
 
Good luck to everyone giving the '365'ago! Been playing with the idea myself but it's abig commitmentand 2 questions spring to mind 1, where do you store your pictures? flickr,TP on your own computer? 2, What happens if you miss a day?
 
Hi Paul, yes it is a bit of a commitment, but I think it's worth it. I upload my shots everyday to facebook, Flickr and onto here, but they are all on my pc and back up drives as both RAW files, print sized files and web sized files.
I suppose if you miss a day you can carry on, but it's not something I've done yet & with only a month & a half left, I'm determined not to do it.

I'm on a quick catch up so not commenting on the MANY great photos you have put up since I last visited individually (I just don't have enough time!) but have really enjoyed looking through these and seeing the variety - love the hippo and was amazed to see they reside here as I thought we didn't have any in the wild? :thinking: I learn something new every day on this forum! :lol:

Loving the colour and detail of 'Blue' and looks like you had lovely timing with 'Afternoon Sunshine' - really works well :thumbs:
 
Slightly off topic but have you seen the movie 'Chocolat', Sarah? Stars Judi Dench and Jonny Depp and an excellent French actress whose name I forget. It's a glorious film.
