Daily Sarah's 365 31st December 2013 - The End! (CAN'T BELIEVE I'VE ACTUALLY FINISHED!!)

Not sure about the cone - unless it's to contrast community respect in the past with modern carelessness... (ie as cone not on a road it's maybe been stolen and then abandoned). I like the monument though.

nice shot Sarah - love any monument like this and no we dont seem to celebrate as they did in times gone by

I know, can you imagine the country celebrating something like that now :)

Sorry, cone and pyramid hasn't really worked for me.

That's ok, it just a record I wanted to make of a local monument.

Thanks Lynn, I saw it as the monument casting the cone off it like it was making it's own return to sanity after wearing it, if you know what I mean. But yes, it could also work as a contrast in respect shown to monuments.

Great shot Sarah :D Great detail right down to the shiny skin

Now that is some detail Sarah!.... And yummy too!

Well it was all going fine until the mackerel haha. I hate seeing dead fish, just kind of creeps me out. I was a butcher too at one point...look forward to seeing more shots.

Oooh excellent. I love fish pictures :D

LOL, I'm not too keen on the gutting & filleting part myself :)

1st February 2013

Lunchtime Vodka.

Passing the Tithe Barn in Wellingborough on my way home from work this lunch time & someone has artistically placed their vodka bottle in one of the pigeon holes.
This one is trying to follow the theme of things I see on a daily basis to and from work or out and about locally.

Haha kids drink!.. looks quite cute resting in there tho

And I bet there was a bin not more than about 10 meters away - this is obviously how we celebrate things in this century ;)

LOL Trace, with you & Jake, there are some hardened drinkers on here ;) Although have to say if that were my bottle it would have been Southern Comfort :) So that makes 3 of us now!

LOL Sarah, yes there is a bin on the opposite side of the path to this :) But yes different kind of celebrating now ;)

love the stonework even with the modern rubbish addition

Mmm I do like Smirnoff Ice! I prefer actual vodka though :D

Amazing sky! We had great blue skies this morning with great clouds as well....so i stayed in the house until it was all grey and nasty! It's a really interesting looking tree as well, all gnarled up like that!

Wow, that sky's amazing!

It certainly was beautiful, the sun was at the right angle for the polarizing filter as well.

LOL, that's what I normally do :)

How did I get so far behind? The fish are great Sarah, the "vodka" made me smile and the rubbish growing up through that tree would annoy me, I would be out with the saw to tidy it up:lol:

Very interesting tree and the processing is spot on

Lovely shot - love the tree and the colour of it

I'd say the S.Ice was FAB but that would be a little cliched for me :suspect: but only because it's was all drinks like that were called in the drinks trade when I was part of it (FAB - Fashionable Alcoholic Beverage) but it really is a great photo, I love that drunks do stuff like that :D not really sold on todays it's just not doing all that much for me personally
