Running with the bulls

Today's encierro was very scary. People had fallen at the entrance to the plaza de toros and very quickly a human mountain had developed. By the time the bulls and steers arrived there was nowhere for them to go other than straight into the masses. One listed as gravely injured. Very frightening scenes.

There's some pretty spectacular goring footage from the news outlets today.
Go bulls.

Only one person gored today. An Australian. All finished for this year now. Without doubt the worst thing was not the gorings but the crushing of yesterday. Reminded me of the Hillsborough tragedy.

A few tonnes of banana skins tipped along the route would increase the entertaiment factor. :D

What happens to stupid people who choose to run with bulls can hardly be compared to what happened at Hillsborough

Do forgive me for being reminded about that. Next time I will consult you first.

Quite an interesting comment of yours. Yesterday I saw people being crushed under a wave of people. As the drama unfolded people were being crushed and asphyxiated. I saw the police carrying a lifeless body away, the person who is still listed as gravely ill. To me it seemed natural that it reminded me of another event where I saw similar scenes, yet to you this is, what, morally wrong? Why is that? Is it because they were foreigners that were suffering? Is it unacceptable (in your opinion) to ever be reminded of the Hillsborough disaster. I certainly didn't intend any disrespect to the victims.

If you want to go running with bulls I'll defend your right to do so but don't come crying if you get a bulls horn up your jaxi, what happened at Hillsborough was not of the making of the victims.

You really write strange things. I've never been to Pamplona let alone run with bulls. I have no idea what you are on about. Do you?

Insult removed

Totally, totally uncalled for. I think what Ricardo was saying is that the mass of people brought to mind the crush at Hillsborough. Two of my cousins were in the Leppings Lane that day and every time they see a crowded train they tell me it brings to mind the day.

That really was a nasty comment.

Thank you for understanding.

Im pretty sure Ricardo was saying the crush reminded him of that event, not comparing reasons behind them.

I was close to hovering over the suspension button but decided against it due to the nature of the subject.

Any more insults thrown around by anyone and short breaks will be given. If you can't discuss like an adult, then click back.

actually, yes I did read your comment, however, what remains fact is that whilst I disagree with running of bulls, I do agree with the comment that Crofter made, I fail to see how my post is deemed an insult?
