This is my, give or take, 573rd photo for this 52 Photo Challenge.

Tonight's dinner - Rack of Lamb. I've been cooking since Mrs. rpn's recent health issues. She said, "Is this for your homework?" when she saw me taking photo of the food.

Excellent, another picture to make me feel hungry. Mrs RPN enjoyed it, I trust? Certainly looks good.

My partner said the same thing when I came home from work with a bag of clementines.

Nice start, that does look tasty and well done for keeping at this thing :snaphappy:

Cheers, Allan and thanks for the kind words.

Thank you, Bob. only the bones left after. :p

It's echo Tim - looks lovely and there's great tones in there.

Good focus on the lamb and like the warm lighting, Mrs Nog asks similar questions when I get something or suggest we go somewhere.
Congrats on your 573rd shot

I hope you meant this is your 573rd shot for all the 52s, not just this year's or that's some dedication to the shot.

Looks good.

I think I'd have been tempted to crop it a bit squarer and cut out the sliver of silver on the right and just leave it against the black of the inside of the oven and give it a bit more contrast.

Hope you don't mind, but sometimes it's easier to show you what I had in my head.

Something like this:

Congrats on your 573rd shot

Thank you, Keith. The warmth is from the oven light.

Thanks, Simon. I have participated in this 52-malarkey for a year or two. :)

Cheers, Kell. Not at all and I think your version is a stronger image.

It looks delicious Stan. Very nicely done.

Cheers, Pete. It was nice indeed.

Definitely frozen, just like most football pitches for this weekend. Great shot for this week's theme!

Thank you, Bob. It was -7˚C last night and, apparently, slightly 'warmer' at -6˚C tonight :)

Here's my alternative take for COLD

Wall of Ice by Stan, on Flickr

Similar weather with us at the minute though thankfully not as long as you.
I quite like the wall shot.

I am quite liking the wall shot as well, maybe I'm odd but I would love some proper snow around my way. I think its been over 5 years since anything laid for more than an a few hours.

Thanks, Ryan. Pleased you like the Wall version, We get snow here every year in the NE Scotland.

Both say cold Stan. I rather like the wall shot.

Cheers, Pete.

Another vote for the wall shot, like the cool white snow contrasting with the warmer light

Definitely think you chose the right one. Lovely image.

Thanks, Kell.

Cheers, Keith. the 'warm' light is from the setting sun at 3:00!

I'd never seen the word "lochan" before. Every day's a school day.
Nicely shot. Good exposure ensuring that the snow isn't 18% grey.

Thanks, Tim. You probably know it is a Scottish word for small loch (lake) by now.

Yep - wall shot all the way :)

Cheers, Dave.

I like both the cold shots but prefer the second - the ferns growing through the wall give some hope of warmer times to come!

I prefer your chosen shot as the temperature it suggests is much more extreme. Glad I live in the deep south of the uk without your temperatures!

Thank you, Ross. The drystone wall is not far from my front door.

Cheers, Alan. We get used to the freezing temperatures every winter.
