Now that is a bubble! very good(y) would be interesting to know how some of these images have been done :)

I've already been put right once today for thinking an image was done with oil :D

Hi, nice bold image there great colour, what is the object though seems very sharp round the edge
Thanks for the great comment. It is a bubble. The technique i used was to put some olive oil into water in a glass bowl with a tiny bit of washing up liquid to help the bubbles form. Then I put a colourful picture under the bowl and shot the bubbles from above looking down onto the surface of the water.

Spot on Phil this is an oil bubble.

Awesome - some really cracking bubble shots been posted - and this one easily stands up as one of my favourites!

Close: A cracking image. The issue of open or closed is neither here nor there.......Works well for me as is......I like how you've achieved such a clean black background.

Bubble: Perfection Personified! Sometimes the most striking can be that with the simplest composition......Thats not to say this was simple to achieve...... (y)

Super bubble , love the sharpness , the colors & the perfect sphere

Now I do really like these shoes, I do feel however the smoke could be a bit clearer.
Yes you are right Mandy, with hindsight when setting this up I should have had the smoke in front of the shoes and focussed on that and maybe had a smaller DoF instead of the other way round. But thats why we take part to learn by our mistakes :). Thanks for taking the time to look and comment.

The ideas fine, the shoes are well enough placed and shot, but the smoke isn't really working. But not having tried it - I'm in no position to judge really!

Colour of the smoke works, is it sampled off the shoes? or can you get coullured incense sticks? Or something else entirely!! :)

Image is good Richard (y), getting the smoke to match the shoes looks well :)

........................You do well to walk in heels so high  :naughty: :D

No it's a selective white balance adjustment. Thanks for the feedback.

Love the shoes (y)

So do I..............but I'm more of a slingback, kitten heel kinda guy <thinks> S**t.........did I just say that out loud! :$

Sorry Richard..........couldn't resist :D.......no more mention of shoes, honest

I'd prefer smoke without the shoes as not sure I get the connection. Cracking colours in the smoke.

Mineral...not showing??

Cheers.

Mineral, well I composed and good lighting. The detail in the rock and water is cracking.

Only minor crit is the line in the BG.

Cheers.

Oh, and the link in the 'no comments' thread isn't working ;)
