Thanks for the great comment. It is a bubble. The technique i used was to put some olive oil into water in a glass bowl with a tiny bit of washing up liquid to help the bubbles form. Then I put a colourful picture under the bowl and shot the bubbles from above looking down onto the surface of the water.Hi, nice bold image there great colour, what is the object though seems very sharp round the edge
Spot on Phil this is an oil bubble. Now that is a bubble! very goodwould be interesting to know how some of these images have been done
I've already been put right once today for thinking an image was done with oil![]()

Yes you are right Mandy, with hindsight when setting this up I should have had the smoke in front of the shoes and focussed on that and maybe had a smaller DoF instead of the other way round. But thats why we take part to learn by our mistakesNow I do really like these shoes, I do feel however the smoke could be a bit clearer.
No it's a selective white balance adjustment. Thanks for the feedback. The ideas fine, the shoes are well enough placed and shot, but the smoke isn't really working. But not having tried it - I'm in no position to judge really!
Colour of the smoke works, is it sampled off the shoes? or can you get coullured incense sticks? Or something else entirely!!![]()
Love the shoes![]()

Thanks - just updated the mineral post.I'd prefer smoke without the shoes as not sure I get the connection. Cracking colours in the smoke.
Mineral...not showing??
Cheers.
