I spoke to a near neighbour recently regarding the white line the council painted across his drive, sticks out about 2’ wider than the dropped kerb, seems if you ask nicely and explain idiots park too close they’ll do this for you to dissuade people stopping too near.
Nobody mentioned the Qashqai yet?
Does Mrs WW have any say in the matter?
We looked at a Honda CR-V Hybrid in January but my wife thought it was too big, ditto the X-Trail and RAV4. We ended up with a Honda ZR-V Advance Hybrid, its a Civic in an SUV body. It drives like an EV but without the range anxiety. We are seeing 60 MPG so far.Yes, of course, but it may be that we get a car for her and maybe a car for us too or maybe she wont get one at all, any combination is possible. If we get one for her it'll be a small automatic and my MX5 will go and if we get an SUV then obviously it'll replace my current one. She doesn't seem keen to drive the Evoque and I don't really know why as it's smaller than her X-Trail hence the possibility of getting a small car just for her but she changes her mind daily. The Kia Picanto looks good to me and it's one I've mentioned to her.
At the moment her main thing is that she's doesn't want anything to cost "too much" but I don't think she's fully aware of how much cars cost. We often drive past a car lot with a sign saying "Cars from £500" but I've tried to tell her that that wont get you much. We both have to get used to the idea that we can spend money a lot more feely than we have in the past.
PS to that.
She seems perfectly happy for me to buy anything I want and only seems to question the cost when it's for her. I suppose it's just the way each of us was brought up but I'm getting over it faster than her.
I say if you like it just keep it a bit longer, put aside some money for rapiers every month
Bmw g31 xdrive...
different I know but 4wd and masses of space in the back
Just googled it and it seems to be an estate car and therefore not on my radar. Plus if it was it's waaaaaaaay tooooooo looooooooonnnnnggggg![]()
X Drives are SUV types.
In that case I couldn't find it as all that came up when I googled "Bmw g31 xdrive" was estate cars.
This covers the whole range of current models (older versions are less ugly).
G30 is a saloon, G31 is a touring version or there is the latest X5 for a full blown sports suv
You wouldn't be disappointed
Why not another Evoque, honestly I have one and that's all I would swap it for, the only thing I have coughed up for is the timing belt which isn't as eyewatering as some may suggest, apart from that just wear n tear items but no nasty stuff, its probably the best car I have owned and if I was in the market for something the same size, its a no brainer, Evoque all day long.
