Before I click to buy the carbon version of the redsnapper tripod I am hoping any owners of this or the metal one can tell me the good and bad points of ownership.
I have a cheapo manfrotto which just can't take the weight of my 40d+grip+flash and shakes like a sh***ing dog even in a slight breeze never mind any real wind.
I want a sturdy yet light pod but can't afford the hundreds for Gitzo etc.
