Long time lurked first time poster. It's a shame that my first post isn't more positive, but I really feel the need!
Spent a long time weighing up the options of vinyl vs paper vs Tony beal. Thought I'd done my homework. Since there is a lot of places mentioning this new 2in1 vinyl I thought I'd save a bit of money and get a vinyl that I could use for high key and low key work. The website says matte, glare free etc all sounded good, so took the plunge last week.
I wish I'd asked for a sample first!! The white side is sort of shiny and has a dimpled texture to it, which is fine if you OE but otherwise you get a sort of grey effect. I suppose where the black is showing through from the other side. Which brings me to the black side... Now I'm no expert in marketing law or the law on the accuacy of product descriptions but the black side IS NOT glare free or matte by any stretch of the imagination. I've tried all sorts of techniques, but all I get are spots of light from the shiny surface. Not impressed, especially since my wife ordered this for me as a gift.
So, if there is anything to say in conclusion... Where can I get some black paper from?
