Odd, I spent 4 hours reading reviews for nespresso and tassimo and there were lots of complains about using a small cup in the machine to pour into a mug and it only did espresso style coffee.
The joy of online reviews - they can be written by idiots
Ignore my previous info then![]()

I read the same reviews before I bought one and, as soon as I got it, wondered what on earth they were on about!
Thanks, somehow I missed that tip in my first readread post #23 for quick foam
Nespresso - great for espressos, but thats about it. Cup size is limited.
Tassimo - a tiny bit behind Nespresso for pure coffee, but they have licensed the p.......
FWIW I wanted a machine that I could turn on, and end up with a hassle-free cup after a minute, I thought the tassimo might be that.
However, I was curious as to how the system worked, I found a vid on youtube, it took 4 minutes, and changing cartridges to produce a latte? Doesn't seem quite so simple as I was hoping.

???? where did the delete post option go

The tassimo uses powdered milk and u can taste the difference.

A lot easier
A lot less mess
The three main reasons that spring to mind
I have a feeling (Next left a message on our answering machine) that my fiancee has bought me one of these for Xmas.
What you guys think?
I drink at least 15-20 double espressos a day

That's 4,000mg of caffeine.
I get headaches if I dont drink coffee but have been drinking it since I'm about 6 years old so pretty much used to it. I get the stomach problems if I drink instant coffee - that stuff is disgusting and should never be called coffee. The coffee machine is on from when I get up at 5.30 to when i go to bed at about 1am. I just love the taste - and coffee is fat free (no sugar or milk as that ruins the taste). But yep I do probably drink a little too much but meh you've got to do things you enjoy. Can't be surely?
I'd be having serious stomach problems if I even had three!

Did the OP buy a coffee machine in the end???
If not another vote for the Nespresso, have had mine for years and swear by them, good enough variety, great customer service and never had a fault yet!
Only reason I say good custoemr service is that when I enquired about some limited editions they did a year or two back they sent me a sleave of each FOC![]()
