I don't think I want a pod based machine but if someone can give a compelling reason for getting one then I'd consider those as well.
A lot quicker
A lot easier
A lot less mess
The three main reasons that spring to mind
Best of both worlds?

I've had a few coffee machines from the basic filter coffee maker to a Gaggia bean to cup machine but I now just have a cafetiere. Lovely coffee, couldn't be simpler to use, relatively cheap and best of all, easy to clean (empty grounds then place the cafetiere in the dishwasher). Is it just for coffee or do you want the full cappuccino/latte experience?
Yes, I'm wanting the full latte/cappuccino experience.
Tried loads of electronic machines, we like coffee a lot, grind beans etc, etc.
These simple ones are as good as anything.

I don't care about the mess and time spent, making coffee is a religious experience![]()

Looks nice, how difficult is it to clean the milk compartment though? Does it waste a lot of milk?
My espresso machine has only a steam funnel, which can be a pain to clean.
The nespresso pods look to be ~80p per cup?

Nespresso - great for espressos, but thats about it. Cup size is limited.
Really? I use mine for Espresso, Lungo, Latte, Cappuccino, Mocha, Americano (god I hate that word!), hot chocolate, milkshakes, hot toddies, and so on.
Never had a half empty cup yet![]()
