Democracy appears to be saying otherwise. All downhill from here..
I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone who would nornally vote labour voting UKIP, they make the Tories look like the SWP.
Protest vote - the 3 main parties are out of tune with the public, so you will then get extreme votes - be it green, UKIP, BNP, Galloway etc... Every single party has some good policies (IMO) and all have some poor ones. At the moment one of the things people are concerned about is Europe and the fact we don't have a say in anything. None of the big 3 have given a referendum (Tories have but they did back down on a promised one, and I don't see the reason it couldn't have been done by now), maybe this will allow the people to have a say?
If either Tories or Labour had an decent leader they would be massively ahead in the polls - Cameron and Milliband are so weak and dull. Tories should be exploiting the fact Labour messed up the accounts and they have got our economy to be one of the strongest in Europe, while Labour could easily point to the fact not everyone is experiencing the strong economy to be picking up votes. For many, its who you dislike the least!!
and me to ,thought george michael had been caught again for a mo.The mouse arrow did hover close by the thread title for a moment as all sorts of images sprang to mind.

I find it quite worrying that people are voting for an extreme right wing party.
Hasn't history given us a warning when this happens in times of economic hardship and immigration concerns
If we leave Europe who do we trade with, perhaps the British empire?
Kiss your arse goodbye to any of the EU laws that protect employment rights, no coincidence that Ukip aren't too keen on them
I find it quite worrying that people decry UKIP as an "extreme right wing party". They're not. They're centre right and I suspect that much of the reason for their appeal, which is to traditional "working class" Labour party voters too, is that the broad political agenda and the media presentation of it has moved further and faster to the left than the British electorate is naturally comfortable with.
My dream scenario at the next election is a coalition between the Tories + UKIP
Boris for PM & Farage for DPM
All we need then is someone sensible to run the country![]()
UKIP expelled members accused of racism. It's not a racist party but a nationalist one. The two are very different.
There was an allegation of racism on R5 just this morning.
It's seems to be an allegation that just keeps on being made. I suppose this could be repeated mud slinging or more worryingly it could be that the party just isn't doing enough to stamp this out. If the party core is truly anti racist they really do need to get a grip.
Just an allegation, when they were proven the party took decisive action to expel racists. I am not for racism, but I am for kerbing immigration and having a vote in/out Europe. I feel the Tories have lost their way, and are limp, and labour are not supporting the people they should be supporting.
Politics?....i was expecting a thread about anal sex.
likewise, wonder how many others have the balls.to say so.Me too. I was a little disappointed if im honest.
Your the one that described it as an 'extreme right wing party'. Was not playing any 'racist card' just stating a fact that some people think that UKIP = racist, same as when people moan about immigration.Find it ironic that you played the racist card, don't think it had been mentioned up till now.

UKIP have one MP. Their votes will dwindle away when people are faced with the big ballot box rather than a by-election just as did the Scottish referendum vote
Never underestimate the stupidity of the British public.UKIP have one MP. Their votes will dwindle away when people are faced with the big ballot box rather than a by-election just as did the Scottish referendum vote
UKIP make more sense than both IMHO. Sensible tax levels and the in out say we should get in Europe.

Ha ha. Good. Joke!!If you vote UKIP I don't want to have any business with you now or any time in the future.
