But stunning even at this size, that is a brilliantly striking shot. Excellent!!![]()

Bit of a catch up here:
Development: Ah nicely done and given we're all tapping away at these things very apt indeedGood shot - simple and to the point
Freedom: As has been said a bizarre juxtaposition - nicely taken and composed
Night: Thats a good un - love the moonlight clouds adding a touch of drama! Nice calming shot and well suited to B&W! Good one![]()
I bet this is good in colour, but the B&W processing is stunning and I really love it. Terrific shot.
Jean
Gorgeous photo - I would never have thought of putting something like that into B&W. . . I'm really getting some inspiration from these 52s
Whereabouts in Gloucester is that?
Sarah, the photo was taken at Gloucester Docks.
Wow - it looks so pretty.
I wouldn't venture to Cardiff or Newport docks at night without at least 2 armed escorts![]()
Thanks
Cheers
I was torn between submitting this photo as the colour version...but I did think the mono treatment added an extra dimension...
I really do think it's a top rate shot. Not sure about this one, your night shot last week and your inspiration were really good but I just find this a bit much, not a fan of selective colouring myself.
It just seems lie loads of B&W and a tiny speck of contract and colour. I can see what you are trying to do but it just kind of misses a little for me.
Hope you take the critique in the spirit it is thrown.

Love your night shot, absolutely spot on.
I'm not a big fan of selective colouring but can see the idea behind it in this shot. Like Hyster I'm not sure it's quite worked. But then I'm just jealous of the fact you've seen a kingfisher! I always seem to miss them by a few minutes!![]()
