Is this for real? Only use Polaroids? On initial inspection and reading of the "story" in the local paper it would appear he has a number of images of school children (his business) in full uniform.
Doesn't sound like anything weird to me.

This is site (in general, not nessc this story) is probably more amusing to locals :-) not that i look at it that often

Oh they do. I'm from Southend so see a lot from this site. Sometimes it's entertaining, sometimes it's just a bit too stupid and get on your tits, especial when genuine local news sites still don't realize its a satirical site and share the stories like they are real. But to ban it.... :LOL:

Exactly as @connersz says above. These sites are simply click bait. They lure you in just to show you advertising.
Then you get the stupid part of the population that actually believe it and share it all over farcebook clogging up our timelines with utter crap, trying to get more of us to click into their s***ty little websites.

Its a satirical news site, not click bait, not a link farm or the Daily Express. Don't tell me you believe everything the Onion, News Biscuit or the Daily Mail tells you too?

I don't read any of those either.
The stories and headlines are designed to be click bait. There are 4 or 5 ads on the page and an annoying pop up urging me to like and share them on Facebook.

I think you are confusing satire for the real world. Sites of this ilk satirise "real" news sites most of which are actual clickbait they're funny because they're only a half step off being true.

See Drop the Dead Donkey, Yes Minister, the Thick of It etc etc.

Thank you. I do know what satire means.
That doesn't change the fact that I find these types of sites annoying. Their sole purpose is to serve ads and track you around the net. Oh and to get paid of course.

Briliant programs.(never heard of "thick of it" though?).... but then again they dont use child pornography to get laughs...

being accused of not having a sense of humor is a bit much.. I ahve one.. but unlike you and a few others on here.. mine doesnt stretch to children and porn .. sorry i just dont find that funny.. and today i am amazed at how many of you do :(

The same could be said for virtually the entire web, if you're not paying then you are the product.

You should try the Thick of it, very funny but somewhat more adult than the other two. Actually that's not ture its just much swearier and plays that for some of its comedy. If blue air puts you off then I'd not watch TTOI

There is stuff which I don't find funny, I didn't find this side splitting either, but I don't go around denouncing it as stupid because its not to my taste. Don't like it move on, there is plenty more "entertainment" on the web.

eeerm I dont think its stupid and i never said it was... i said the thread is stupid.. i understand the site and why they do it.. far from stupid actually.. it works.. even got me to look.. flip tat on its head and you will understand why i think the thread is stupid.. its in talk photogrpahy and its a serious headline that gets a lot of people to click on it.. its only then you find out the real story..

But it's not poking fun at child pornography, it's poking fun at stupid people.

There are people out there that see anyone with a camera in public as up to no good, we've all come across them. That is what the article makes fun of while highlighting how ridiculous it is in the form of satire. Sure some people won't get it and think it's real, they are the ones being made fun of.

Didn't say it would, just saying that its very sweary and quite a lot of the humour is derived from that fact. If you don't like swearing, which many people don't, then you'd not like the thick of it. I was making a simple recommendation if you choose to see veiled insults thats up to you.

Indeed. And it's quite well done, in my opinion.

But if you want to see how to really manipulate the general public's idiocy to get a laugh, you should check out another story from the Southend News Network:

Read the article carefully and you will see that it does not mention Islam or Muslims. I'm sure that's very deliberate. But that hasn't stopped people sharing it around the world and ranting on about how Muslims are taking over. For example:
- The UK will ban bikinis on three beaches this summer in a cultural trial to make Muslims feel more welcome and safe at the seas
- Plages Anglaises interdites aux bikinis et bientot toutes les plages
- Tommy Robinson gets caught by spoof story about Southend beaches banning bikinis

Disclosure: I have absolutely no affiliation to SNN, but I am from Southend.

It's a spoof. Even the names of "those involves" are ridiculous.
You'd have to be a special kind of dense to not immediately recognise is as exactly what it is.
Some people will get worked up over absolutely anything.

Or the classic Brass Eye episode Peadogeddon aired in the early 2000, which satirised the media and public reaction.
