Using Photoshop :
First, enter "72" next to Resolution, and make sure it's set to "Pixels/Inch"
It is 1024 maximum wide or high.
I have noticed oversize images even with this new larger limit. Looks like the pixel police still have work to do![]()
Using Photoshop :
Open the image
Go to Image (menu) > Image Size
First, enter "72" next to Resolution, and make sure it's set to "Pixels/Inch"
Then right at the top of that box, under "Pixel Dimensions" :
Enter 800 in the box next to "Width"...... the "Height" value should change automatically too, to keep the image in proportion.
Then click OK.
The go to File > Save For Web
This opens a new window. At the bottom left under the image, you will see a file size. Probably be about 100k or so. If it's over 200k,......there is a box at the top right, entitled "Quality", reduce this number (it goes from 1-100), until the file size at the bottom left, goes below 200k.
Hit save, enter your filename, and hey presto....There's your image, ready to upload![]()
Right got through all those stages until the last page where i am looking for the box at the top right hand side "Quality". I am running Photoshop CS3 and there is not a box up in the top right to adjust the quality. Any ideas?
Okay just changed it to jpeg format. Saved it and gone to upload it (its only 125kb). Cant upload it onto site as it says 'file was not an acceptable format'
I got no hair left to pull out now!..........
