Oh hai talk|photography ,
New Portuguese noob here
I recently bought a refurbished Canon EOS 1000D with the 18-55mm Canon kit lens. After reading a bit on the subject, I bought the Canon 50mm f1.8 II to try and learn a bit more.
Without knowing this, my dad went ahead and gave me his vintage Pentax Asahi Super Takumar 50mm f1.4 :bang: so I feel like i just threw money out the window with the Canon 50mm.
I know next to nothing about photography, and been playing around with macro (50mm reversed on top of the kit lens with scotch tape
), and been planning to try HDR as well.
Today I ordered a cheap close up lens kit (Polaroid) , a chinese set of extension tubes and a Pentax adapter so i can use the Asahi lens, all from Amazon.uk.
While all that crap is being dispatched, I'm wondering if a combination of tubes + magnifying lens will work with any of the fixed focal length lens so I can avoid using the much slower 18-55, any feedback on this?
Anyway, here are some of my failed attempts :
