I'm thinking of buying a decent printer and printing myself rather than outsourcing all the time. One thing that popped into my head, and has returned no real information via Google, is that sheet paper is supplied in A4, A3 sizes etc, but common print sizes are 8x6, 12x8 etc.
If I wanted to print a 12x8 print, which is my most common size, I'd have to use a whole sheet of A3, resulting in a lot of wastage. An A4 sheet would be too short by 1/4".
How do people get round this? Do you either have to resize and crop to A4, and supply A-sized prints, or just put up with a load of wastage?
