I've just got a Tokina 11-16 and would love some inspiration from TPers :D

Please state focal length if poss :thankyou:

I got plenty - my Sigma 10-20 is my fav lens :-)

All of these are 10mm on a Canon 40D - so actually 16mm (35mm equiv)

This was taken with the Tamron 10-24mm lens @ 10mm.

 
Here is mine, a puffin taken on Skomer Island. Me and Paul (Grendel) had great fun doing these wide angle puffin shots :D This one was 12mm which is the widest lens I have.

Do you mind if I ask a couple of questions about your shot? You seem to have been able to focus very close to the subject (unless this is a crop?). What lens did you use and what was the focussing distance?

I'd love to take shots like this but I find that when I get really close to the subject, the minimum focussing distance of the Tok 11-16 is too long and I can't get a focus lock.

It was taken with the Nikon 17-35mm (on full frame) and is more or less straight from camera, I can't remember what the focussing distance was and I don't have the lens anymore. Sorry!

Thanks for doing your best to answer the questions Hacker! I checked the focussing distance for the 17-35mm. 28cm is the minimum.
